Contest: Animation Fixation
Deadline: August 4th - extended!
Gone are the days when animation was just for kids!
This month, we want to see your favourites from the movie/TV world of animation. Whether it's your favourite princesses, favourite villains, favourite funny moments, favourite ships, favourite movies, favourite lines, etc, that's what this contest is all about! Animation! (includes claymation, anime, etc) 
For this contest, we ask for a minimum of three separate fandoms in your movie to showcase your favourites. Movies with sequels count as the one fandom for this contest. For example, Toy Story 1-3 is considered as one fandom, so you would need at least two other movies/tv shows included in your video.
We want you focus your video on ONE "favourite" theme. For example, we don't want combined videos of favourite princesses AND villains. You can make a vid about your fave princesses OR your fave villains.
We know that some live-action TV shows (e.g. Fringe) have episodes that are have one-off novelty animation episodes, but for this contest we ask that you select shows/movies that are predominantly animation. No live-action. This counts for live-action movies with animated characters (ie: Paul), they would not qualify for this contest.
Shows like American Dad, South Park or The Simpsons would be allowed, as would any animated movie from Shrek and the Lion King to Corpse Bride! Even Looney Tunes or Robot Chicken! Heck, if you love Dora The Explorer she can be a part of it, too!
We can't wait for the entries for this one! Have fun!
The Rules
Specific Contest Rules:
• - Make a multi-fandom video featuring a selection of favourites from at least three animated TV shows or movies. No live-action.
• - Canon only. No AU's, OC's, or crossovers.
• - Running time should be under five minutes. We suggest the 3 - 5 minute range.
• - The more creative, the better. Don't be afraid to take risks.
• - When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "July 2012 contest submission" exactly in your vid's description.
General Contest Rules:
• - Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page.
• - All regular submissions Rules apply.
• - Only one entry per vidder.
• - Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh. (Please contact a CM if you wish to enter a previously-submitted video)
• - Please do not use Rapidshare or Yousendit as your only hosting place.
• - If you're using Youtube as your primary link, please also provide us with an alternative link. Far too often, YT is either disabled or muted by the time the contest is ready to be judged. Mediafire and zshare are just a couple of the sites out there that can be used as reliable backup links. We do realise that there have been a lot of issues with file-sharing websites recently but if you can find anywhere that you're comfortable uploading to and that is easily accessible, that would be great!
• - Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available to be watched at least until after the deadline has passed. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.
• - Have fun!

The LVI Council is proud to announce that the Member of the Month for July 2012 is starryeyesxx! 
Sophie has been an active member of LVI for over six years now and during that time she has submitted a whopping 85 videos! Over the years, she has maintained a high standard of technical and creative skill, earning a steady stream of both Council and Gold Viewer Pick seals since 2008.
Sophie shows a lot of variety in her vidding, her video catalogue currently showcases a staggering 12 fandoms! She has a talent for making stunning, emotional videos which perfectly summarise a character or relationship and touch even the unfamiliar viewer. Her lyric interpretation and beat use are always spot on, and her manipping skills are some of the best around!
Her stand-out videos often leave a lasting impression on the Council which led to her winning a 2011 CM Choice award and being a regular contender in the annual Member’s Choice Awards.
