| LVI Hack Clean-up Update |

As most of you know by now LVI was hacked late Friday night. The attack was vicious and its intention was to take LVI down. Apparently the hacker didn't know that LVI has overcome a lot and some hacker isn't going to be enough to get rid of us.
We completely lost our old message board. But through the quick thinking and quick action of Enchirito our message board member profiles and our threads were saved. He recreated a whole new message board while keeping everything from the old. I want everyone to know that this could have been a lot worse but thanks to Enchirito we have our message board back.
We are still not at a hundred percent but we're getting there. We won't be able to accept any video entries for at least a week or more. Enchirito has had to disable our video entry system to clear out any left over damage from the attack and make sure it is completely secure. He has given me an estimate of a week maybe longer so as soon as we have a concrete day that we'll reopen for formal entries I will let all of you know.
Also, our SPAM forum policy has changed a bit. To keep size down on the message board we have had to enable auto-purge in that forum. After a topic has not been posted in for a week the topic will automatically be deleted. Now this process has only been enabled in SPAM forum so all other forums will be as they were before. To those that use the SPAM Forum I hope you understand that this is something we had to do for the boards. If we ever, God forbid, encounter a situation where we have to quickly do an emergency backup of the boards we need to make sure that it'd be as quick as possible. Other then the above change that forum will run basically the same as it did prior to the attack.
I'd also take a minute to thank the council for their quick reactions to the crisis and their handling of the situation. We'd also like to thank all of you that visit our site for your support during this situation. I can't begin to understand or comprehend why someone would want to attack LVI but apparently at some point we made an enemy out there in cyber space. But it's that support from all of you that has kept LVI going strong through every crisis LVI has been through. I hope that this will be our last issue for a long while but things can always happen and when they do we will always get the site back up and running. That's because we know that we are here to serve the Lost and vidding communities. As long as all of you keep coming back I promise that LVI will be here.
The person that deserves all the credit for getting LVI back to this stage of operation is Enchirito. When it is back to full working order it'll be because of the work he's done. I never expected us to be back in any working order this quickly and it's just a testament to his incredible webmaster skills. Just make sure to take a second and thank him for all the hard work he put in the past three days. He went above and beyond the call of duty to get us back up. So E, thank you for being the best damn webmaster I've ever had the honor of knowing.
Our board is back, our site is up, and soon we'll be back to full working order. Enjoy the boards and we'll get new videos to all of you just as soon as we can ensure that the site is safe and secure so we never have to go through this again.

Well, after many hours of frustrating work, I've managed to get a brand new, fresh, very latest install of phpBB up and running. The hard part turned out to be moving all of our old data from the corrupt forum to this new one.
One reason for the difficulty was that almost 1/2 of the database was filled with SPAM. And because of the structure of the database, it was
impossible to do a backup excluding certain forums. Fortunatly, I found another (much more complecated) way to get most of the data back in there.
So, I'm also impossing the executive decision that the spam forum will be auto-pruned so threads not posted to after a week will be deleted. Sorry spammers.
Anyway, please try stuff out and report anything that seems off in this thread... but I think everything should be solid now.
oh, and I even made a new header logo for the new forum.

I think S.O.S. by ABBA would be great for a fun and fluffy kind of vid!(and I'm not posting this request just because I'm swedish, lol)! The sad stuff can take place during the calm pieces in the sing, and when the refrain starts it's the funny stuff, haha... something like that. Here are the lyrics...
