Hey I was just browsing imdb and Josh is going to be in a movie with Gary Oldman, Liam Hemsworth and Harrison Ford called Paranoia. He's also going to be in a film with Arnie, Sam Worthington and Olivia Williams called Breacher  Does anyone know if they are substantial roles or not? Even if they are not it's good he's in movies with such big stars.

I am not familiar with DVD shrink at all.
I rip the DVD; and use the file I find for vidding. But they're really choppy; like glitches; like skippy.
And when I tried to convert it in Any Video Converter; it was the worst quality I've ever seen; and had subtitles.
Is there naything I can do to work around any of this? Especially the whole skippy/jumpy clips.

Contest: Crossover Couples
Deadline: September 30
This month, it’s all about the crossover couples! Now is your chance to vid your favorite crossover couple, whether they're a crossover between a movie and a television show, a male/female couple, a female/female couple, or a male/male couple. Show us a vid of Peter from Fringe falling in love with Emma from Once Upon A Time, or a hot vampire hookup of Edward Cullen & Sookie Stackhouse!
You may only vid one couple. A triangle may be used only if the third person is someone who just triggers some actions and emotions (jealousy etc.), but the main focus must definitely be on the main crossover couple
You may use any song you like, and any footage you like. Outside footage is allowed. So, for example, if you are vidding Damon/Claire (The Vampire Diaries/Lost), you may use footage of Ian Somerhalder from his days as Boone on Lost to tell your story.
Angsty, happy, a little bit of both, tell us the story of an amazing crossover couple!
The Rules
Specific Contest Rules:
• Make a video about your favourite crossover couple.
• Crossover couples only. No canon, or OCs.
• Running time should be under five minutes. We suggest the 3 - 5 minute range.
• The more creative, the better. Don't be afraid to take risks.
• When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "September 2012 contest submission" exactly in your vid's description.
General Contest Rules:
• Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page.
• All regular submissions Rules apply.
• Only one entry per vidder.
• Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh. (Please contact a CM if you wish to enter a previously-submitted video)
• Please do not use Rapidshare or Yousendit as your only hosting place.
• If you're using Youtube as your primary link, please also provide us with an alternative link. Far too often, YT is either disabled or muted by the time the contest is ready to be judged. Mediafire and zshare are just a couple of the sites out there that can be used as reliable backup links. We do realise that there have been a lot of issues with file-sharing websites recently but if you can find anywhere that you're comfortable uploading to and that is easily accessible, that would be great!
• Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available to be watched at least until after the deadline has passed. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.

It's almost Tournament time! Its time for you to choose which qualifying videos of yours should have a chance to to be crowned Vid of the Year! 
You may choose any of your videos from any fandom that have received both a Gold Viewer Pick & a Council Pick, submitted between September 16th, 2011 and September 30th, 2012. The number of entries is based on your vidder ranking:
Expert Vidders & Council Members: 3 entries
Advanced Vidders: 2 entries
Intermediate & Novice Vidders: 1 entry
You may post your choices here in this thread (one post only per vidder, please), or if you’d prefer your choices be kept private until the Tourney begins, send a PM to LVI Council with “2012 Tournament Entries” as the subject. Remember, you must have your vid choices submitted by Sept 30th!!!
We are not able to extend this deadline, sorry. However, if you have a last-minute vid that you would like entered, just get it submitted to the site by Midnight, Pacific Standard Time, Sept 30th, and please let us know that you would like it entered into the Tournament if it qualifies with a Gold VP/CP within the next day or so. We'll be doing our best to vote as quickly and efficiently as possible but please be sure that you're doing the same, since the Viewer Pick is just as important to that equation as the Council Pick!
Please make sure that your entries all have working links. If no one can view your vid, we'll have to disqualify it. Also, because Youtube is almost completely blocked in some countries like Germany and is often blocked in other countries around the world, PLEASE give your entries a secondary link to some other hosting place besides Youtube. Here is just a small list of some other streaming and downloadable hosts. If you need any help editing your secondary link into your video thread or with anything at all, please just let a Council Member know and we'll be glad to assist you! Thank you so much for your help with this!
Also, please take a moment and make sure your video is submitted under the correct tag! If your video is a romance, it shouldn't be accidentally filed under "action". 
Regarding collab vids: Videos submitted under a collab account - 2 or more vidders together - are not allowed to be entered in the tourney. Most of these vidders will submit vids under their own accounts, which would cause those vidders to have more than their allotted number of videos entered.
This will be our second Tournament as a multi-fandom site! Last year was a great starting point to multi-fandom-ness, and this year we hope will be even better! We want this Tournament & Member's Choice Awards to be fun & exciting for everyone! Get ready, on November 1st the fun will begin!
