You may know about this already, you may not. So here goes.
Sky have bought the rights to show Lost from Channel 4. This means that season three will be shown on Sky One from November - the promos have already started.
I contacted Sky about a week ago to determine whether they were planning to show season three on Sky Three for those of us without Sky but with Freeview, or on normal terrestrial channels for those with neither. The response I got was that they currently had no plans to show the series on Sky Three or terrestrial, but that may change.
Therefore, I propose that we start a petition. If enough of you loyal Lost fans sign it with your names, we may be able to swing the Sky schedulers our way and get Lost shown on Sky Three or even back on Channel 4.
So please, anyone in the UK who does not have Sky, or even Freeview, sign this petition so that we're not deprived of this amazing show!

Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:29 am Secret Fix A/N: ...I know that people do this on the Island, even if ABC can't show it... Also, this fic is, like, super-old...like beginning- to mid-s1-old.
THIS FIC IS RATED R FOR ADULT CONTENT. While I've tried to keep it from being too graphic...it's, at the very least, really suggestive. Reader Discretion Advised.
I've put the whole fic under a spoiler, just to be safe.
Spoiler:
Charlie bit his lip angrily and spit in his palm again. Grasping himself more gently this time, he closed his eyes and leaned forward against the tree hiding his deed from the one behind it.
He opened his eyes again and could see Shannon standing by herself on the beach in her brightly colored bikini. She was washing herself with bottled water from the caves. Charlie assumed that she didn’t like what the salt water did to her blonde locks.
Sliding his hand up and down, faster and faster, he watched as Shannon emptied another bottle of water down her front, looking from the left to the right, and, satisfied that she wasn’t seen, pulled the bikini away from her breasts, allowing the water to spill down her skin underneath the fabric.
Charlie let out a small moan, quiet, stifled, as he watched her scrub herself with her bare hands. He tore his eyes away from her as she turned to face the wooded area he currently was lurking in. Hiding himself better, Charlie pulled his hand away from himself, spitting in his palm for the third time, then returning it to its current duty.
As Shannon pulled her hair off her neck to empty another water bottle down her back, Charlie’s skin broke out in gooseflesh and he screwed his face against the pleasurable shudders that ran through his body.
Charlie knew he shouldn’t be watching, but he still did, as Shannon decided she was entirely alone and lay her towel on the dry sand beside the spot she’d made into her own shower. He let out a muffled cry as she took off the bikini top and bit his lip so hard he nearly broke the skin as Shannon looked up quickly, covering herself and squinting against the sun to see what sound had interrupted her silent solitary moment.
Again, satisfied that she was alone, and assuming, Charlie presumed, that she had been hearing things, Shannon dropped the top onto the sand and lay face down on her towel.
“Oh Jesus…†Charlie groaned, turning away from her as he finished, closing his eyes tightly and emptying himself and his filthy thoughts onto the sandy, leaf-littered ground.
As Charlie bent and cleaned himself with a nearby leaf drenched still with rain from the previous day, Shannon stood and put her top back on, deciding she wasn’t alone after all. She headed toward the brush where she knew someone was residing and putting a hand to her forehead to shield the sun from her eyes; she saw the movement of the leaves as Charlie stood again.
She couldn’t see who was hiding, but she could feel them—him. As quietly as she could, Shannon closed in the gap between her and the perverse intruder and before he could turn to see her face, she pulled apart two bushes and spied Charlie trying to comb through his disheveled hair with his fingers.
“Boo,†she said huskily, quirking her eyebrows and grinning at the terrified embarrassment on his face when he whirled to face her.
“Shannon!†he gasped. “Christ, you scared me.†Charlie’s cheeks flushed an angry red as he tried to hide the sick glee in his eyes at seeing her flushed, wet self in front of him.
“You’re sick, Charlie,†she muttered, staring at him. He’d neglected his zipper. He’d also forgotten to cover his emissions on the ground.
“What?†he asked, looking around frantically for his folly.
Shannon shook her head and rolled her eyes. “Next time…keep your mouth shut,†she said, “and consequently, if you can’t get away fast enough, zip your f***ing fly when you’re done.â€
Charlie looked down and his cheeks burned harder as he pulled up his zipper, but before he could look back at her, she’d turned and started away.
“Shannon!†he yelled, starting after her. “Shannon…I’m sorry…†he muttered, deciding it was best to leave her to her devices. He’d gotten one of his fixes today, but he couldn’t look her in the eye ever again for it. Dejected and angry with himself for being caught, Charlie headed slowly back to the caves, not looking back.
Shannon lay back down on her towel, her flat stomach glistening with sweat staring up at the sky. Closing her eyes to revel in the sun’s warm rays, Shannon made a mental note to contact Charlie when she needed a fix of her own.

Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:20 am Shannon Loves Claire, Now A/N: since HTML is off in this forum, I couldn't use the <strike> code, and instead, I just made the text smaller. Just pretend that the word/words are crossed out, okay?
Shannon loved Claire now. Her emotions had softened much since Boone’s untimely departure, but most of that was due to Claire.
Claire had given Shannon a spare diary that she’d found in her things. When asked, Claire couldn’t remember why she’d packed an extra, but Shannon had a thought that Claire’s entries in her own diary were probably wordy enough that if her stay had been longer than a few weeks where she’d planned on being, Claire would need that extra book.
At first, Shannon had turned her down outright. She didn’t need some stupid book to put down her thoughts. That was why she had Vincent, anyway, wasn’t it? The second time Claire had offered it, Shannon had declined again, this time stating that she couldn’t possibly rob Claire of the thing she would eventually need to continue her own thoughts.
The third time, however, when a few weeks had gone by and Vincent had quit being as good a listener as Walt had promised, Claire offered the book again. At the moment Claire had approached her, Shannon was pushing Vincent away, telling him how useless he was. The young mother had thrust the book at Shannon. “You need this,†she insisted, cradling Aaron close to her with one arm. Shannon decided she was right.
It had now become Shannon’s ritual in the early morning hours, when the sun was barely light enough for her to see, to make her way to Boone’s grave, sit down beside him, and write. Mostly, Shannon wrote down memories more than thoughts, but today was an odd day. Today’s entry included both.
We were still in high school. I’m pretty sure Boone was a senior. Whatever, that doesn’t matter. We were at a football game. I didn’t want to go, but again, whatever. My boyfriend had just broken up with me—yeah, I know, would you f***ing believe it in a million years? Anyway, Boone had draped an arm around me. We didn’t go to the same school…no one knew who he was. Point being, I decided that it would be cool to enjoy the touch of a man again. I know it sounds gross, because he kind of is was my brother, but he wasn’t, too.
He’d kissed me on the cheek and I’m pretty sure that’s what started the whole thing. No one would believe me if I told them now, but back in high school, I was kind of a softy. When Adam bailed, it broke my heart. Boone glued the pieces back together again.
I don’t know when everything changed. I don’t remember when I became a bitch, and I don’t remember when I decided that Boone was a toy. Thinking back, I wish things had stayed the way they were. Thinking back…I wish I hadn’t taken advantage of him. I miss him so much now, and the sick thing, really, is that I miss him because I miss having that toy. He is was my all time favorite toy.
Yesterday I saw Jack and Kate talking. I think that there’s probably something going on between them that no one else knows about, and I think it’s hot as hell. Jack, that is, not Kate.
Charlie and Claire make me sick with all their cuddling. Makes me miss Boone even more, because I remember how wonderful he was at all of that gunk. Sayid is cool and all, but really…Boone was the best. The best.
The baby never stops crying now that Sawyer is gone. The other day, Charlie brought him over to Vincent and I. At first, I was like, “what the f***? Why is he bringing that thing over here?†but then, I realized his logic. No one liked Sawyer, but the baby did. So then, what, no one likes me? It pissed me off and the baby cried still. So, I pretty much told Charlie to f*** himself and leave me alone. Vincent left me, too. That dog is useless, I swear. Walt promised he’d be a good listener, and he was…but not anymore. Maybe dogs know more than we think. Maybe he got sick of hearing the same thing over and over. Guess it’s a good thing Sayid doesn’t get sick of it. I don’t know what I’d do then.
Shannon shut the diary and looked out into the sunrise. She was alone; she checked. “It’s going to be another nice day, Boone,†she said softly, “I can already tell.â€
He never replied. It made her heart break all over again, even though she never did expect to hear his words.
She stood slowly and tucked the diary and pen into a purse she’d found with someone’s luggage. It wasn’t hers, but it worked.
Trudging slowly away from his grave, Shannon murmured wishes for Boone to stay strong. He couldn’t hear her and she didn’t care; it made her feel better to say it. “I’m not the same person I was,†she’d say, too. “When I see you again…you’ll have a reason to love me. I promise.â€
Looking down at the small book poking out of the top of the purse, she smiled. She loved that stupid thing and the way it helped her feel better even though it was all her words on the pages. She thought about it, briefly, and yes…Shannon loved Claire now.

Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:09 am He'd Read It A/N: What Boone might have been trying to tell Jack while on his deathbed.
“If your life was a book, no one would read it, Shan.â€
Boone’s eyelids flutter and he gasps for air. His lungs are collapsing if they haven’t already; he can tell. Where were Jack’s pens, now? The thought almost makes him want to laugh against the tears stinging his eyes. Jack doesn’t need to see those, so he holds them back, but he can feel them. He can feel his whole body shutting down and he knows he is going to die.
“I bet they would, Boone, you f***ing idiot. Do you know how many stupid, young girls would buy my book and read all about me, trying to be me? Any idea?â€
“No, Shan, they’d read it and see the fraud you are. No one wants to be like you…you’re worthless.â€
Conscious thoughts flood Boone and he loses his flashes. Jack is moving around, but Boone is only vaguely aware of his presence. He can see that the good doctor is spent; Boone thinks maybe he remembers Jack feeding his own blood into Boone to save him, but he isn’t sure if that was just a hallucination or not.
Where is his sister? Where’s Shannon? He means to ask, but the words won’t come. He needs her to know something, as trivial as it might sound to anyone else in the world. To her, it’ll mean everything.
Jack is apologizing for failing him. Boone wants to shake his head, wants to smile at Jack and tell him it’s all right and that he appreciates all the effort. All he can manage is to roll his eyes away a little as he gasps for air, and then tell Jack, “Don’t be.â€
Boone knows he’s about to die. He feels himself passing. Shannon needs to know. “Tell Shannon…â€
Jack is looking at him with interest, confusion and hard focus. He’s trying to take it all in. Boone can tell that Jack has every intention of telling Shannon.
“Tell Shannon…â€
He can’t get the words out. Why, God damn it?! His body is giving up on him. “Tell…â€
His lungs give out. They refuse now to take in any more air. All Boone can see is blackness though he knows his eyes are still open. The last thing he feels is a soft burst of oxygen letting itself out of him and the last thing he thinks is, “her…I’d read her book…â€

Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:05 am In A Split Second A/N: I wrote this just after 2x06 - Abandoned aired...I was still clinging to the possibility that Jack could ride in on his white horse and save the day. Clearly, I was in denial
In a split second, it’s over. She’s seeing Walt; Michael and Jin (where’s Sawyer?), a bunch of strange, new faces. She’s seeing red. She feels Sayid. Her heart swells with a love she hasn’t felt in a long, long time, and then...nothing.
In a split second, she was no longer looking at unfamiliar faces as she held herself in the rain. Sayid was a memory; the island, a dream, because what mattered now was that Boone was coming toward her and she’d never been so excited and terrified to see him in her life.
He looked like the same Boone she’d drank herself to bed with. The same Boone with sparkling eyes that, once upon a time, she loved very much. The same Boone she’d broken and the same Boone that now hated her as much as loved her.
“I’m sorry, Shan,†was all he said and she couldn’t understand why he would be until he started to fade away.
“Don’t you leave me again, God dammit!†she screamed and Boone shrugged, his eyes sympathetic.
“I’m not...†his voice was nearly a whisper as Shannon felt the rain pelting her skin. Boone was gone and she was sopping wet, and then...she realized something that frightened her even more.
Shannon realized that her stomach hurt as though it had exploded, and also...Shannon felt cold.
Voices fluttered in her ears and rain spattered her face. A warmer sensation came over part of her and she could feel Sayid again. She could feel herself coming back to life once again.
Boone was gone. He wasn’t sorry for abandoning her, she thought, and in a split second she knew–he was sorry because he knew Shannon would think that he was.
