|
|
I know many of you have been waiting for this so here it is. The contest information for May. Since the site is down till 4.0 goes live we ask that you spread word that the contest is posted here on the message board.
Contest Name: Lost Crossover
Contest Deadline: May 31st
The Details:
Dedicated fans of both Lost and Alias will have noticed little connections between the two. “You All Everybody†played in the background of one scene of Alias and in another scene they mentioned an Oceanic flight leaving from Los Angeles to Sydney. Perhaps J.J.’s way of having little crossovers of his two shows.
With that in mind we decided to issue a crossover challenge. Use footage of your favorite show or movie and intermix Lost footage. The big challenge is the combined footage has to tell some kind of coherent story.
Here are some tips. Be careful when using dialogue to make sure that you edit it so it all flows smoothly. The less audio cuts that can be heard the better. Make sure you are creative in your idea. You can use music but remember this challenge is to focus more on the story and less on the music.
The Rules:
All regular submission rules apply! If you are not familiar with these please see the Submit page for details. The following rules apply only for this contest.
When you submit your contest video please submit it under the name of “May Crossover Videoâ€. Also, when you save your video please save it under the name of LVI_(insert your screen name). These just allow us to keep all the videos better organized.
-Running time must not exceed 2:30.
-Must involve actual audio at least twice in the video
-Has to tell a coherent story
-Be creative
-Your video must be sent to our contest submissions email, lvicontests@gmail.com, by the contest deadline. If you send your video to lostvideo@gmail.com it will not be entered in the contest. _________________

If I actually liked the LOTR movies, I'd make a crossover video of Charlie getting high and hallucinating that he was one pansy hobbit.
Someone HAS to do this.
*Charlie sniffs heroin*
"My name is Merry and I'm an elf!"
Yeah. I only watched the first LOTR movie so I have no idea what I'm talking about here.
Good luck everyone! |

This sounds challenging. I've already got an idea working in my head. Now all I have to figure out is how to download the episodes. Which is a crucial point. |

Cool contest! I've never done a crossover vid before though, and I have absolutely no idea what I'm gonna do. I'm sure it'll be LOTR-themed though. _________________ Heather |
