Quote: | Lost Drops two "Bombs"
Is it too early to be talking about Lost's return in three months? Heck no! Accourding to series cocreator Damon Lindelof, "two bombs" will be dropped shortly after the island thriller resurfaces on February 7. "One is a character bomb, and that will happen within the first three episodes after the breal," Lindelof reveals. "And the other is a more significant story bomb--a game changer that will happen shortly after." Don't tell me: The island is really a penninsula?!
There is also an article about AAA's departure, by Shawna Malcom. Most of it has been repeated in other places. Some of the quotes from the producers:
"This was a plan that was signed off on over the hiatus," says executive prodicer Damon Lindeloff
As executive producer Carlton Cuse puts it, "There personal things going on in Adewale's life that made it hard for him to be in Hawaii." Earlier this year both his parents passed away.
Several sources tell TV GUide that long before his personal tragedy, the 39 year old actor had become an increasingly difficult prescence on set, refusing to film scenes as scripted, insisting on rewrites and even demanding to be released from his contract. One source reveals that AAA (my substitution) went so far as to weigh in on other character's story lines, alienating cast members, who made their displeasure known to the producers.
When asked about such report, Lindelof says only, "What happens in Hawaii, stays in Hawaii." (AAA declined numerous interview request for this story.
Regardless of any off-camera dishormony, Eko's death-and his haunting final message to the survivors-are bound to have major on-screen ramifications. "When he says 'You're next,' what does that mean?" Cuse poses. "Was Eko's death due to the fact that he was 'worse' than the other characters, or was it merely foreshadowing that all of them might expect to meet their demise at the hands of the island? |

I second that. And yet he has such a soft voice and always seems so nice in his interviews... _________________
