I have my browser set so I can be logged in all the time (it works on other sites, even more spcifically other freebb sites) but if I leave the page, and go back in, I have to log in again! Its really annoying having to do this everytime, but also I miss a lot of posts because when I click "posts from last visit" it says nothing matches my criteria...is there a cause for this? Thanks

I have the same issue. All I do really is click on "Log in to check your private messages" then it logs me in

Thats what I do. But I recently got my computer wiped and now I can't log in on FireFox AT ALL. I have to use Explorer. Weird huh?

I used to have the exact same problem all the time.
How do you enter the forum? Through the forum button at the top?
If so, try entering it by clicking on a video and going to the main forum page from there. It worked for me anyhow.

Yeah, this This bugs me. For SOME reason, whoever designed this forum, and the internet for that matter, decided it would be a good idea to make the main area of the site "http://www", and make the forum area just "http://". I don't know why they did this, though I suspect it's because it makes no difference in Internet Explorer (damned internet explorer) but it does in Firefox. In firefox, if you log in to a page with "http://www", then the login information will only work for pages with "http://www". Any pages with just "http://" will prompt you to sign in again for those pages . Basically, whenever you login, you save a "cookie" in your temporary files with your seesion info, which is set to work for a certain website, but when it sees another website with a link that's different, like the difference between "http://www" and "http://", it won't be able to find that cookie, and so it asks you to make a new one... and login again
It's a stupid problem, and one you can probably blame on firefox's good security features... it's trying to protect you .

So to solve this problem, I do the following. Instead of logging in via this page: http://www.lostvideo.net/phpBB/portal.php I just made a bookmark of the main forum page: http://lostvideo.net/phpBB/index.php where the address is already correct. So from there, I just login and it gets me in okay without any more of these login problems.


If your problem isn't solved by that, then it's probably something else. My first suggestion would be to clear your cookies, because sometimes they get screwed up and do stuff like this. That solves most cases. If not, then we'll just have to figure it out .

Anyways, I'm looking into this kinda... maybe I'll be able to fix it one day. It's kinda one of the main things blocking me from integrating a huge feature on LVI too, so if this problem *is* ever solved, you may see a really cool LVI change along with it lol...

I have similar issues. I have to login twice every time. I log in, then it just goes back to the index page, so I do it again and it works. It won't stay logged in though, and it works on other places.
