I don't think i'm gonna enter to be honest. I've entered 3 contests in a row now and won at least two of them lol (although i definitely think cylune will have beaten me in the disney one) so i'm gonna give the contests a break.

*raises hand* I'm trying a Claire vid, with an emphasis on why she feels the need to be independent. If it doesn't work out like I want it to, I'm going to try a Shannon vid with an emphasis on the discrepancy between who she wants to be and who she is, instead.

Ooooh yes i think shannon will work perfectly for this. Don't do claire, she hardly has any flashbacks.

I like both ideas, chica, but I think I'd try the Shannon vid, too, because there aren't so many Shannon vids out there.

Awww a charlie one!  So your doing a vid where you are comparing the people in his past life (the flashbacks) to people currently in his life (on the island) What agood idea! Didnt think of doing it like that. Cant wait to see it. What song are you using and what will it be called, i'll keep a look out, sounds like it will be great.
I'm still having trouble with mine. I've got a song, ive got a character and i've clooected most or all of my clips. But because mine was going to be a vid before i read about this contest its kind of going a bit off track. I think i might have to start again and re tuine everything so it makes more sense and matches the description more. Finding it a bit tricky though. Plus i havnt submitted for a contest before... 
Any starting points people???

I'm doing it to "A Day Without Rain" by Enya. It has no lyrics, but i think the music really adds to the video. I'm mainly using dialogue, because the dialogue really shows the connection between the characters. It's difficult, because all my season 1 episodes arent dubbed correctly, so i have to go and convert them all again (coz i've got the dvds)... grrr.
Oh, and some starting points... find a character, (duh) and list all the connections. Draw up a timeline of what you want the video to be like. Then possibly find a song that fits. I think the song, in this case, is the least important aspect of the video.
I've been playing around with my video SO much. I kinda think of it as a scrap piece of paper, because i've been adding so much, and taking heaps out, changing the song at least 3 times... it's a VERY working project... haha.

Well, i've finished my video. I'm actually quite pleased with it. I havent uploaded it yet, i'd rather keep it unrevealed until the last moment.
I can tell you that i did a charlie flashback, focusing on his relationships with people on & off the island. I chose to do the video to "Wild Child" by Enya. Yay.
I hope everyone else is doing ok with theirs

I have a song in mind, some ideas... the only problem is that my family is going on vacation soon and I don't know if I'll have enough time to finish it...  I'll try and if I don't make the deadline, I'll submit it as a regular vid...

Well, despite a previous post stating not to do Claire due to lack of flashbacks, I had already finished a Claire vid, and I'm not really shooting to win anything, just to hone my movie skills as this is only my second vid. Any feedback (as constructive as possible please ) would be appreciated!

The Shannon vid is not working out. Or, well, it is working out, and it'll probably be a good vid, but it's not really appropriate for this contest. 
Am considering tackling a Michael vid (because I still love Michael and I think I'm the only one who thinks his flashbacks were relevant and interesting), but I may just not enter this month.
