ok, I was looking around on this forum and saw all these fan art threads, and it gave me an idea for a contest.

this contest is an AV/ icon contest.
simple concept really, all this contest is looking for is whoever makes the best av.

(for whoever does not know what an av is: av stands for avitars. it is the little icon/ picture that is below your name, for instance, mine is Kate at the moment.)

Rules:

1. It must be anything related to LOST.
2. The size must be 100 x 100 pixels.

3. it can be moving.
4. it can be one you find on the internet, but you get more points if its your OWN work!
5. it must be turned in by the due date: (as of now) July 13th(9 am)
6. you can have up to 12 entries!! but no more than 5 in 1 catagory.

7. be creative and have fun!!!!

I will PM certain people to ask if they will help me judge this contest. If you get a PM for it, you can turn it down if you dont want to do it and I will just PM someone else. there will be 5-7 judges (assuming I get enough entries and people will do it...).

you can post your entries here, or PM them to me. (PM is preferred if you want to have your entry be a surprise!)

there are catagories, and when you submit your entry/entries, you MUST say what catagory you want that icon to be judged under.

The Catagories ( with examples from around LVI or mine) are:

Angst:

Stylically done:

Sadest:

(sorry, couldnt find a better sad one...

saying (that goes with the picture):

crossover:

unknown category:

Hmm, sounds cool.

Questions:
1. Could you sumbit more than one?
2. How would you judge them?

Suggestions:
It'd be fun to split them up into categories. I know it'd be kind of limited, but some of the categories could be Best Angst, Best Humor, Best Stylically Done, etc.

If you're working out the kinks, that's okay. Get back to this as soon as you can because it sounds like it'd be fun.

I would like to submit my GLORIOUS AVATAR for the humor subsection.

I always liked the map avatar/banner I used at LF:

(if we can submit sets, consider that submitted).

... and for a different character, I'm partial to the Sayid avatar I made for Whoknowswhy@LF/etc.
