With LVI trying to set the stage for a remodle we're working on making hte speed in which things get to you guys faster. So for the first time in a while here is this months contest information on time . It should be a fun contest and we look forward to seeing what you guys come up with for it.
The Details
Uh-oh! Someone has some daddy issues! Okay, well we knew that, but come SEE the softer side of family dysfunction.
Mother’s Day is coming up, and in celebration we felt we could have a little tribute to the mothers of Lost. But we didnt want to leave the fathers out either- so we welcome May as Parental Issues Contest Month.
This can be drama or humor or dramedy addressing everything from deep embarassment to love.
This applies to any parental relationship- whether it be in flashbacks and/or on the island.
The Rules
Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page and all regular submissions rules apply! The following rules apply only for this contest.
-Running time must not exceed 5:00.
-Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh.
-When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "May 2006 contest submission" exactly for vid's description.
-Please do not use megaupload, rapidshare or zshare to host your files.
-Have fun! Vidding is supposed to be fun!
-Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available for download at least until the end of the month. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered. _________________

Cool, I might enter this. Just wondering, does it have to be a "tribute", or could we show bad parents, like Locke's dad stealing his kidney? _________________

Does it have to include all the different parents of lost or can it just include the one set? xx _________________

My big thing on this months contest is I would personally like to see a lot of the maternal issues since Mother's Day is this month (at least in the US) but definitely don't forget to include the father issues as well. And like Warren said both the good and bad moments are welcome. I look forward to seeing what all of you come up with. _________________

Hmmmm, sounds like a good contest. Will have to find a song first though.
I hope that nobody's taking "Mama" by the Spice Girls. That song is...well.... _________________

Ooh, now this is an awesome contest!
Fingers crossed that I'll be able to obtain a new hard drive and recollect enough Lost eps to do a good Michael/Walt or Claire/Aaron vid ('cause those are the two parental groups that appeal to me most, natch.) Or else pull it off with the very few eps remaining on my current HD and maybe some clips scrounged from around here. _________________

Someone here was reading my mind. I was planning on doing a mother's day video anyway. This gives me an excuse to get on and do it. I just got to figure out how to put it together. _________________ *Rachel Bumala*

Ouch sounds like you're having the same problem as me. My hard drive went dead on me. If that's what happened to you, I recommend you obtain the program Easyrecovery Professional. It got almost all my files back, most of which undamaged. |

Nah, it's just that I picked up a new obsessions and most of my Lost eps went the way of the Recycle Bin to clear some space for it. I have a very small hard drive, right now... _________________

Dito, i had to do the same thing. I download so many things that our current hd only had 1gb of space left, and so i had to delete my LOST episodes and many other of my beloved downloads!! Hopefully we should be getting a new computer soon (probably after my GCSEs!) with a much bigger hd!
