I know we're all supposed to be on an HBO strike because of the Carnivale thing, but am I the only one who is in love with this show?

HBO strike? LOL Well... I'm not on strike. Was Carnivale even good?

I've heard such great things about this show.... I'll rent the DVDs and see it.

Well apparently they've got the mega green light from HBO. Already ordered 20 eps for season 3 and told them to go ahead and start filming season 4 when they're done with that. (And season 3 doesn't even premeire until the summer.)

Enchirito, I would seriously recommend you checking it out. I'm catching it onDemand as I only saw a few episodes last year. But I'm sure you could download it. Stick it to the MAN!

As a member of my entourage (we changed the name from posse minutes ago, you didn't get the message?), you really have no choice do you?

Also, if you have OnDemand you can check out the first half of Season 2 right now. Season 1 is on DVD so you can probably rent it or put it on your netflix if you've got it. (Which, everyone who rents movies should, because it is so worth it.) Season 3 will premiere in the summer.

It's about an actor from New York named Vincent Chase who's just done a big movie and is a new name in Hollywood. His half-brother is a bit of an aging hollywood has-been, who has done a lot of TV guest spots but just mooches off of him now. (Johnny Drama is the name.) His best friend Eric (they call him E) is his Manager and really the heart of the show and main character. He's the guy you root for. (He's also first billed.) But the one who STEALS the show is his spitfire Agent, ARI GOLD. (Ari's crazy, he says stuff like "Let's hug it out, bitch.") Then there's Turtle or "the Lackey" from above. Just another high school friend from Queens riding on Vincent's coat tails.

It's mostly an ensemble piece and they all just have really great chemistry and are freaking hilarious to watch together. There's also the great dialogue as I hope is evident from above. (It's also such a guilty pleasure, you know you shouldn't laugh sometimes but you just can't help yourself!) You kind of follow them on the hunt for the next "payday" and the pretty much everday struggle with Ari, who wants them to do the movies what will get them paid more than the artsy stuff.

Another reason to watch is the countless celebrity cameos that you see in each episode. They play themselves usually and are always written in in a way that's funny and they're not afraid to make fun of themselves.

There are a lot of gratuitious hot chicks moving in and out of every episode, most attached to the womanizing Vince (or to one of his Entourage, just to get close to him). But she show is so good that I don't mind it!
