Q: Is the clock for LVI off by about thirteen minutes for anyone else?

I see: 2:53PM EST
It is: 3:06PM EST.

Thanks for any fixes!

It's like that for me too, Kate.

I knew I wasn't the only one. I have kind of gotten used to it, but it's jarring sometimes.

same for me it says all times are GMT but it says:
The time now is Mon Mar 01, 2010 8:17 pm

when in fact it's 8:32 pm so it's off like 15 mins for me

It just occurred to me that this may not be the exact right thread--but I saw 'fix-ups' and figured it was more technical of a thing than 'general concerns,' so...

Sorry for any confusion!

Yes, it's off by several minutes, unfortunately. We've been trying to figure out what's causing that but so far we haven't been able to get to the root of it. Sorry for the weirdness (it drives me buggy when it looks like it's taken me 15 minutes to answer somebody when in fact they just posted ) and hopefully it'll be corrected soon!

Do you think maybe it was the hackers?

It shouldn't be; it started happening in that span of time we had for a while between hacks, but I guess I should never say never. We're looking into all possible causes so we can get it fixed.

If we can't change the LVI clock to fit with the true clock... we need to change the true clock to fit with the LVI clock! Big Ben is always at exactly the right time, right down to the second, so if we move that back 15 minutes, real time will be in sync with LVI

Done!

*gigglesnorts*

The clock should be back to normal now.

It's now on the right time for me (EST); I'll note that a few days ago, I noticed it, and then noticed it was 2min out of sync, and then back to the proper time again--not sure if that was a blip, but hey. Mostly working (and hopefully entirely working now!) is better than 15 minutes off.

Hey! I was wondering if someone could edit this link into this vid so it shows up as an embedded video? Thanks!
