Hey i was just wondering if someone could help me with this effect:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XULH9tveFzc

Its @ 0:18 where another clip is shown going over the 1st clip.

Ive seen it in other ways where its the same clip but black and white/zoomed in and going down the screen, which is what im really after but i couldnt find an example.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Can someone tell me how to place and hold markers on the timeline please? I keep trying to mark beats but when I make a second mark - the first one disappears.

Hey, I'm having a little trouble with my watermark. I can't seem to get it to go over the clips as it goes under it instead when I try to move it around.
Please help! lol

i have a feeling I've asked this before but I can't remember so i thought i may as well ask again

is there a way to add an audio effect to more than one piece of audio at a time? Like I'm doing a vid right now that has a lot of 'memory' audio that I want to ad Reverb to; but the only way I know how to do it is piece by piece; is there a bulk option of sorts?

I don't really know much about this Kat, but I was playing around with some audio effects where I was adding more than one effect to each clip. If you save it as a plug-in chain, its much quicker to add, but I dunno if you're already doing that or if it's much quicker for you Sorry if that doesn't help, but as far as adding it to more than one clip at a time I'm clueless lol

When I had Vegas 6 I could import my avi files straight into the program but Vegas 7 doesn't let me do this.
It sometimes imports the audio but not the video..Anyone know why?

I think I've seen this posted on this forum before, but if it is now, i can't find it. Does anyone know how to do the "green screen effect" in Sony Vegas. Does it work in the Movie Studio versions?

Thanks in advance.

Yep, it sure does work in Movie Studio as well. You use the Chroma Keyer (found under the Video FX tab) to make anything blue, green or red disappear from the clip you want to be able to see through. This tutorial on how to replace an image on a monitor shows how you can use the Chroma Keyer, particularly steps 1 - 4. Hope that helps!

Hmmm, that's strange that Vegas 7 can't do it if Vegas 6 could on the same computer. I always thought that was a codec problem, so if you have the same codecs that worked for Vegas 6, I'd think it would work for Vegas 7. Unless you're on a different computer or something...? Sorry, I don't really know why that would be or if there's a fix for Vegas 7 if it just has some particular problem with .AVI that 6 didn't. Maybe somebody else knows?

Okies, I has a question!

I'm sure it's been covered before, but when you do a flash transition when you have a border, how do you get the flash to stay within the border? I'm sure there's got to be a way to do it, I just haven't figured it out (or looked back through the vegas help threads)...

What can I say, I'm lazy and impatient, hehe If anyone can help me, you get a cookie!!
