I would absolutely love to see what people could come up with for humor. I know that we would get some really funny stuff. Everyone here is so talented and I need a good laugh.

Unfortunately, I don't think a lot people want to work on a humor vid because it's hard.lol I do more humor than drama, since drama and tuff seems too easy.

Well, if anyone wants humor "Up There" should be done within the week.... Hopefully.

2. Best real theatrical movie trailer for Lost
3. Possibly, on a special occasion, like at the 2 year anniversary or after you hit 1,000,000 vids, you could make a contest where the entries can be for any of the past contests, but you have to make a new one.

I don't know if anyone had a similar idea before, but anyway, here's my contest suggestion:
How about something like "What Jack did"? I mean, we know that many of the Losties have a very dark past (Sawyer, Ana, Kate, Eko...), but Jack seems to be one of the "most innocent" ones. Wouldn't it be great to have a contest about his dark secrets?

Could be, yeah, but there's still the possibility to use other movies for such a vid or maybe older stuff with Matthew Fox (like Party of Five). We have great and very creative vidders here.
Anyway, just an idea

just an idea, but what about a priceless comercial?
for instance:

wood: $185
sail: $200

seeing the boat you built actually floats: priceless

(this example is a bit weird, but its just an example. this one would be about building the raft and sailing it.)

yah, but theyd also probably end up being pritty creative. and theyd think of more things to buy, i just couldnt think of things at the moment. i should have done an example with sawyer, that probably would have been easier, he has loads of things to get,lol.

Well the time is coming around where we've got a month where we could use some ideas for the next contest

I know there are some other good ideas in this thread that haven't been used yet, and those are on the board too, but if anybody else has any new ideas, now's the time to bring them in

I've always wondered how people would respond to limiting the music they can use. Confining to one song, or type of music (such as an instrumental contest), is a bit confining to the creative tastes, but it evens the playing field for people to really have to be creative to win the contest, and bring something trully magical to the table

. I tried it earlier as an Unofficial contest

aka "Hobbes' Contest 01", and we kinda did it with the Disney Contest, and I wonder if that would be widely accepted as an Official contest

If so, then that opens up many possibilities for some Lost contests

, such as the instrumental contest, or maybe even a Music From the Show, using the Lost soundtrack (though if vidders aren't careful, both of those could be pretty boring

)

Anyway, just pondering
