This can be a running list of questions that need to be answered on the show. I'll take the tone of the skeptic (or the Jack/Scully role) and say that I think that the writers are just winging it and don't have any intention of answering all of these questions. Feel free to add to the list if you'd like.


- Um, what the fudge? (Just kidding that's not a real question.)
- Polar Bear? How? Why?
- Horse? Ditto from above.
- How did the "thing" kill the pilot. I mean, we've seen it PUSH stuff up (trees) and SUCK stuff down and drag it from below, (locke) but we haven't seen it you know, EMERGE from the surface. All of this pushing and sucking, so rude!
- What is LOSTZILLA, anyway?
- The Numbers, is there any significance to the fact that Hurley got the numbers (and that they are really bad luck) AND landed himself on the island, or is all of that just coincidence?
- What did Locke see out in the jungle that day?
- What happened to Claire when she was kidnapped?
- Why did Ethan want the baby?
- Why did the Others kidnap Walt?
- Why did they kidnap Alex?
- What DID Nate do in the jungle by himself for two hours?
- Why is it important that only Claire raise the baby? Or was the psychic just some anti-adoption nutbag?
- What caused the plane to malfunction?
- How did the others come to be on the island?
- Who ARE the others?
- Why do they have to keep pushing those numbers into the computer? What will happen if they don't?
- Pirate Ship? Explain please.
- What is the significance of the light and the dark theme they worked so heavily on in the beginning of the first seasons and furthermore, who do they think they are introducing the prospect of good vs. evil and then NOT FOLLOWING through?
- Who were Adam and Eve?
- Where the heck did those Nigerian Drug Dealers come from and do they have any significance?
- What are the voices in the jungle?
- How do you explain Walt's "powers?" (And how do they relate to the island?)
- What is the "sickness?"
- Where the heck did Desmond go?
- Does the island really mess with people's minds (ala the Boone hallucination)?
- The what? With the tape? And the creepy asian guy? And Alvar Hanso? And the Dharma Initiative? And I? With Magnets? And oh christ, just forget it.

When Danielle is telling the Lostaways that the Others are coming:

DANIELLE ROUSSEAU: At that time, I was already seven months pregnant. I delivered the infant myself. The baby and I were together for only one week when I saw black smoke. A pillar of black smoke five kilometers inland. That night ... they came. They came ... and took her. Alex. They took my baby.

I, myself, want to know who or what Shannon was seeing every time Creepy, Dripping Wet Walt appeared and did the whole, "I'm down with the backward speakin' thing!" Was he really there? Was he an astral projection of some sort? I really thought that he wasn't physically there (hence the "now you see him, now you don't!" ). But then Sayid saw him, too...

Or maybe the first bunches of Creepy, Dripping Wet Walt's were astral projections or something of the real Walt. The last one was an evil twin/clone/other soap opera-ish plot device. Or it was Walt Gone Evil, after being brain-washed by the Others.

Or it was somebody doing a good impersonation of Walt. Wasn't that THE hot Halloween costume this year?

"But, Mommy! I want to be Creepy, Dripping Wet, Backwards-Speakin' Walt this year!!!"

"Sorry, son. The store was all out of Walt costumes. How would you feel about becoming Sawyer?"*

"NO, I wanna be Creepy, Dripping Wet WALT! WAHHHHHHH!!!"
