You'd better make sure it's a cold one.

Hopefully this episode will be that epic.

Hilarious shocked Richard face one minute in.

Now for spoilers:
Spoiler:

Not buying "We're dead" for a second--I don't believe a single word Jacob or Richard says, personally. Hoping the campfire crew doesn't fall for it.

I thought Nestor's acting was incredible.

I do think it was interesting that Jacob couldn't bring back his dead wife. I am wondering if it was a 'wouldn't' instead of couldn't. Wouldn't bring her back for many reasons.

I think Jacob was more truthful than MIB was. Especially with the the Island being the cork to hell, I found that so interesting. And I'd like to know why MIB has to stay on the island and why Jacob's death is the only way out.

I liked how Jacob doesn't intervene with the people. I think he helps them to a point, but he's right he has to allow these people to do it on their own other wise what's the point.

My mom watched it with me, and the water scene when Jacob is drowning Richard to show he's alive. My mom said "Baptism". So I thought that was interesting.

I'd like to know how and why Hurley sees 'ghosts'. At first I thought he could only see people who died on the island. But then I realized that David (The imaginary Fred he had earlier) was most likely a dead guy talking to him.

I kind of thought Hurley/Richard scene was a bit awkward, and I don't know why. It just felt weird and a bit off.

So, can we name this episode 'Sundown II'? Way too many parallels to be ignored, after all:

* The whole 'Kill him before he speaks' thing.
* The 'baptism' scene referenced above--very similar there.
* Some other stuff that MiB said echoed what Dogen said; I don't know what it was without a rewatch, but I do know that I caught it.
* Richard has a dead wife; so does Sayid. (Since we never saw what Sayid wanted from MiB: I'm thinking he got the same 'Can't bring her back' reply.)

I'll echo MysticWondering on the acting, especially for carrying most of it in Spanish: There's (I think) a fine balance with acting in a foreign language for an English-speaking audience, because you have to be clear enough with your emotions in case people don't catch the subtitles, and yet not overact and send the whole thing into cheesiness. For my money, all of the people who've had non-English scenes on Lost have done well with that.

Unlike MysticWondering, however, I don't buy Jacob's 'benign neglect' act for a moment, and I'm not sure why. My spidey-sense is tingling with that, and although I don't trust MiB either, I'm not sure we're learning the truth from either side.

MIB could bring her back. It was Jacob who couldn't. I am pretty sure Sayid was going to get Nadia back, it was the only reason why he was going to do it. And he was going to allow Richard to have his wife back too.
