If someone were potentially considering entering, but that someone has a pitch-black sense of humor, is this contest friendly to dark comedy and/or tongue-in-cheek stuff, or should it be more blatantly cheerful?

Hey there, Kate! Long time, no see! Welcome back!

As for your question, I don't know if you've seen this thread here yet? We're trying to give a lot more freedom and flexibility when it comes to doing a contest, so pretty much that's going to be up to you to decide whether your idea fits or not.

Basically just have a look at what we asked for and if you think your idea suits it, then go for it!

I managed to make something un-dark. Be proud of me, Aislynn! Question #2: Are we allowed to ask for a beta for the video (obviously, no CMs)? I want another random person to give it a once-over before submitting, but am not sure if that would violate the rules. Thanks!

Could the contest end date be extended to about March 3rd.
I have a video about 1/3 done but haven't had time to finish it.

I'm so sorry to be such a pain, but I was wondering if the extension could be, well, extended

I'm working on my entry right now and I'm *almost* done with about 30-40 seconds left; but now that I've started uni I'm freaking out that it might not get done in time

I'm about 70% sure that I *should* be able to finish it in time, but could this be extended by a day or two just to be safe?

I finished mine yesterday and Youtube is being an absolute pain and it just won't upload

Don't think I'll make the deadline but I'll upload it and submit as a general video anyway

I too have a problem with Youtube from time to time: I'd suggest uploading it to zshare alone (since Kat said that was OK, as it streams) and then get the Youtube taken care of later.

Jen, we'll accept it as long as it has a working link of some sort, so we'll be glad to hold the door for you if you can get it submitted with a link we're able to view.

Zshare definitely is fine for this purpose, then we can add your YT link in whenever you have it and get it properly embedded and all that.

Unless, of course, you just don't want it in the contest, that's your prerogative. But we'd love to have you enter it and we'll certainly make allowances for uploading trouble. Just let us know as soon as you can!
