i think i know what you mean Kimmy You could combine the case of a movie with the cast of Lost all running from the ghoulies, or just have the monsters chasing our losties. Kate could play "Jill" if you wanted, tho I think it would be easier to have Kate just stay Kate. _________________

Okay - granted I'm probably not going to enter this contest, but I just want to state for the record that The Shining should be considered a horror movie. Yes, it has more elements of a thriller, but who said that a horror movie had to just have blood, guts & gore to be considered horror? In my own opinion, sometimes the movies that don't show all that tend to be a lot scarier since they leave it up to the imagination.
Not to mention - The Shining is Stephen Freaking King! The master of all things horror & macabre! To not count The Shining as horror would be doing us all a disservice.

I agree with Nep That movie scares the bejezus outta me! Now the newer version that they made of The Shining some years back was more thriller, not nearly as scary, but the original version was horrifying...the redrum and little girls were enough to send me batty. That and a frozen Jack Nicholson. /shudder |

Yeah, it'd be pretty insane not to include The Shining. That's like, on the top of horror movie lists! _________________

Yeah...to this day, I still cannot watch The Shining alone, mostly because the creep factor is off the charts!! The little girls, the elevator full of blood *shudder* Yes...quite scary
I actually really enjoyed the mini-series they did a while back, but mostly because that one was closer to the actual book, and the thing I liked about the book was how it was this really human story about this family struggling - it was just set in a really creepy place. And I agree, the mini-series is more of a thriller/drama than actual horror. But the Kubrick one is most definitely a freaking scary horror movie!! _________________

Wow, what a confusing discussion on your question, Kimmy. LOL You just mean that you want to have the video of Kate and the audio of someone else or vice versa? _________________

The Shining IS horror...and one of my favorites...
I think it's tough though because Horror and thriller are sometimes in the same category for me...depending on the film... _________________ Kimmy

awesome! Does Underworld count as a horror movie? I mean it has vampires and werewolves -- they're pretty much the definition of horror lol! I know it's quite action-y, but I promise that the vid would in no way be too 'action-y'
eta: it's listed on horrormovies.com, so i guess I don't have to worry |

more dumb questions of mine
do the credits have to fit within the 5 minute limit too?
ok so...The footage WILL stop before or at 5 minutes...but it might go i don't know an extra 10 seconds to give credits and such..so it might run to 5:10 or something lets say...only for credits though...so is that allowed or no...does the whole thing count?
lol sorry =/ _________________ Kimmy

No hun, credits never count in time limits as far as I know they certainly don't in LVI contests _________________
