That was good! I have a lot to say, and since you appreciated my concrit on one of your other vids, I'm just gonna let it all loose. LOL!

Spoiler:

This video had a really strong concept which you both introduced and wrapped up really well, I think. There was generally good continuity with the concept, too, however I feel like the good times didn't stick out quite enough. Some of the audio was hard to hear, and the audio during the Jate airport scene was a little awkward because the show's music was butting heads with the song. I liked where you could hear their lines, though, and hear Kate driving off. One thing you can try in a scene like that is splitting the clip and muting or lowering the audio at points where there's just show music and no relevant dialog or other relevant sound. Also, some of your clips were maybe a touch too long.

You had some decent beat use in places, but I would have liked to have seen more. One of my favorite parts, where you used the music really well, was where Juliet is about to drop and the music really kicked in right then. That made for a really powerful moment, and it just about gave me some serious goosebumps.

I think your effects use, in terms of coloring and transitions, seemed kind of inconsistent and random. That, for me, has been one of the hardest things to attempt to master, and I'm a long way off from it myself. I've been given a lot of great advice in the Artistic Vidding Help forum. Here's a thread where I got a lot of great advice on how to use coloring: http://lostvideo.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=20553. One thing that I've learned is important (but am having a hard time learning to apply) is that coloring and effects should have a purpose and should be pretty unified throughout the video. For example, black and white to show flashbacks, or soft coloring for lighter moments, and darker coloring for heavier moments... that sort of thing. Transitions can be used similarly... using the same transition to move into and out of flashbacks, or at the same part of the song, that sort of thing.

Anyway, when all is said and done I thought you did a very nice job on this video. The fact that you put a lot of thought into the concept and your clip choices really shows. Great job!!!
