I tried to dispute a claim made against a Skate video I made with the song Bubbly by Colbie Caillat. I followed the tips and it worked for me.The music was back as soon as I got to the video from filing the dispute.
Now I just hope it stays there.
Thanks you for posting how to dispute a claim. It is very helpful.

I lost the audio again on my Bubbly video. The video is still up but it is muted again.I got a note that they had reviewed my claim and muted it.
I guess this one is not going to be accepted.I do plan to try this dispute thing on another video and see how it works on that one.Maybe I'll just make this one a silent movie with subtitles.
Now I know disputing the claim does work, just not for this song.I'll try it on the other video some time and see if I have better luck.

Yeah I think has to do with with what music group the song is with...some are pickier than others. I think WMG was the one that wouldn't work for me. _________________

I just got done adding annotations to the video.I'm going to see if I can still use the words even if they muted the audio.I put some instrumental music under it to replace the muted song. Now I'm just waiting to see what it does with my video now.I took one of the songs they had on a list at Youtube so they shouldn't mute it.

ARG this is so annoying!! i put up my 'live high' video yesterday and they took it down straight away. i then disputed it and it was up again -- for about two hours. |

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with YouTube! They've just started flagging my videos seemingly by default and removing the audio (and in some cases the whole video) instantly when I've put it up. I'm kind of scared to keep uploading cause I don't want any legal trouble... but it's a shame since I've got videos to share! Any suggestions? |

I just tried it on my old crappy 'The Living Years' vid which (even though they hadn't told me ) I think they said was a WMG claim...it was W something anyway...and its worked So maybe they're feeling nice now? lol _________________

Yeah, try disputing the claim first. I hadn't checked recently but yesterday I noticed that about half my vids were down for the count, so I went through and disputed the claim on every single one of them and they're all back up now. So it definitely is worth a shot! _________________
