Oh no, the Council watches and judges each vid individually and we use a series of criteria based off of things like how well the vid followed the contest rules to end up with the results.  The Viewer's Pick seal is still voted on by the everyone like it was a "regular" vid but the contest voting itself is still done by the CMs. |

Doh! I'm about a third of the way through my vid for the contest and now I'm worrying I'm not gonna finish in time  When exactly on Saturday does the submission period end?

If you need an extension feel free to ask. We give an extension automatically really if you need one just tell us how much time you need and we will see what we can do. |

Well, at this point I'm still hopeful that I can finish in time, but I'll let you know in the next day or two if I can't.

Could I have an extra few days please? I've been motoring through but I'm still only about 2 thirds of my way through my video. And uploading and what-not always seems to take longer than I think it will.

Traditionally, we use Midnight, Eastern Standard Time on the day of the deadline as the cut-off but any time you need us to "hold the door" a little longer than that, we're always glad to! |
