My baby brother is only nine years old (while I'm 24) and I'm almost like a second mom to him.... does that count? _________________

Parenthood is by far the most challenging, stressful, rewarding experience in life. I hate when I hear these young teenage girls on TV crying about how they want a baby and they know what to do. I was 20 when my son was born and for the first two weeks I walked around confused and crying because here was this little life who depended on me and I thought I was ready for the responsibility. Huge dose of reality after he was born.
But children are the most amazing miracles to ever happen. Being a parent is a gift and I would never trade it for the world. ^__^ Mommies FTW! |

Yep! I agree! I was barely 23 when I had my daughter and I never thought it would be as hard as it was. Those first 6 weeks were a big shocker!! But also what took me by surprise was how much you can instantly love someone. Its the strongest bond there is.

You're all the coolest mums I know! I'd kill for mine to love Lost and make vids and stuff. But she's all "I havent got time! I have to washup, cook dinner, make the beds, make my lunch for work, email blahblahblah at work about the blahblahblah tomorrow, I havent got time!"
Whatever THAT means.. _________________

I agree, Elle! I wish my mum was like some of the mum's on here! Then we could discuss Lost and stuff. And it'd be cool if she made vids too but my my mum doesn't even know how to work a computer! Once, she sat at the monitor, turned it on and then complained to me that the computer wasn't working, lol. I was like "Er..mum. You need to actually turn the computer on haha xD |

XD They think its magic or something.
My son doesn't know how 'hip' his mom really is. He does like that I'm teaching him HTML tho. He was so excited that he told his entire class and the teacher was amazed how much he already knew. Plus, I play video games with him all the time! He must think all moms are like that. >_> My mom never did stuff with me like I do with my son. |

Don't be too harsh on your mom - it's tough. Part of the reason I'm not a CM anymore - couldn't afford the time. _________________
