My old photoshop wouldn't open anymore so I had to redownload, but now whenever I try to use the Text tool, it says something like "something is stopping the text from being initiated".
Anyone know whats wrong?
Help is very much appreciated! _________________ "What, you smell blood on the wind?"

It says, "Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initalized."
Yea.. it says "something"... how helpful, Photoshop. _________________ "What, you smell blood on the wind?"

I once had a Windows error that said "Windows has a problem." That was the extent of the error message, no codes, no nothing, just "a problem." That's always so helpful, huh?
Anyway, I searched your error and found this. I'd add to be sure to just move the fonts to another folder, not delete them, so you'll be able to put them back again. It sounds like it's a corrupt font and it's just a matter of finding which one and getting rid of it. Hope that helps! |
