Lowering the volume on individual clips is much easier than raising it (or so I've found ). You just put your cursor at the top of the audio clip and it'll change to a hand, then just drag that bar down like you do when you're changing the opacity of a video clip and that will make the audio clip sound quieter. So if you lower the volume on your "loud" clips to better match your softer ones, you can raise the master volume a bit to make the project louder if you have to in order to compensate.
Now, of course, if there's a big difference in the clips or you just need the clip to be louder, you do like Becca mentioned and right-click the audio clip. Mine comes up "Apply non-Real Time Event FX" (but I'm using Vegas Movie Studio 6.0 so that could be different). It'll take you into your sound options for each clip and there's one for raising the volume. |
