Okay, so I apologize in advance for creating a new post if this was already covered somewhere else (I did check the tutorials, which were very helpful, but I couldn't find this question).
So in the beginning of my video, I want the music and the audio from the clip to over lap, with the music in the back round. I understand how to do that, you just adjust the audio levels on the side, right? But I don't want it like that the whole video, and when you keep adding clips there's just one overall audio control thing on the left side... So how do I achieve that?
I hope that makes sense, and thank you to anyone willing to help!
I'm using the version 7.0 by the way!
And, can anyone point me in the direction of a in-depth tutorial, to avoid trouble later on? I have some tutorials, but they speak in very general terms, and then when I get stuck or don't know where a certain tab is, it's impossible to get out of the issue! |

I would think the easiest thing would be to have the audio and music pieces on different tracks, that way you can control the volume for each track separately. The full version of Vegas allows you to add unlimited tracks, I believe (my Vegas Movie Studio restricts you to 4 video and 4 audio tracks total)? If you want the two pieces to sound as if they're fading into each other, you can still accomplish that on separated tracks just by fading the end of one and the beginning of the other (when you put the cursor up by the corner of a clip, it will change to a symbol like half an arch - if you drag that back, that will create a fade in or out to black on a video clip and will fade in or out of audio).
I'm not sure if that answered you question or not, but hopefully it helped a bit!

Besides the ones we already have here, I don't really know of a good, sort of all-purpose tutorial, sorry! We just tend to ask each other questions when we get stuck! |
