I think with so many people left behind the Oceanic 6 will definitely return to the island. And who knows, maybe Claire will get saved later on.
It's funny that after the season 3 finale we got the impression that Jack had totally lost it (trying to crash etc.) but now I'm really wondering why Kate doesn't want to return. Maybe she thinks the others are dead... I can't imagine that they just would've left them on the island.
Anyway, I think we'll get a nice reunion some time in the future. 
But I'm wondering how they will fit the different time lines in the storyline... I doubt that they're really gonna split the cast for too long. No interactions at all between the two groups would suck.
I can't imagine the show without any Sawyer-Kate, Sawyer-Hurley, Locke-Jack or Sawyer-Jack scenes.

I'm pondering... and I'm wondering if Jack and Claire are actually going to find out that they're siblings. Because the writers DID say that we (the viewers) would know before they did, implying that they WILL, somehow, find out. I'm thinking that Jack's gonna still carry around a wallet/some form of ID with a picture of him and his dad, it'll fall out of his pocket or something, and Claire will find it and be all wtf?
