I...am....mortified.....

I have spent all month-ALL MONTH! making a video in a trial of Sony Vegas and I had been working so so hard on it. Do you know how frustrating it is to make a complicated vid on a laptop with no mouse? My fingers were bleeding! Anyway....I have been so busy and slowy finishing it at weekends and it was almost finished. ALMOST!!! And I planned to finish it today, tonight and do you know what it's telling me?

My trial (even though it doesn't say it) has ended?!?!?!? I HAD TIME LEFT!! NO WAY!! I am so so so so upset. I was convinced this was going to be my best vid yet because my others are influenced by the suckishness that IS WMM. All I wanted was to make a great vid in Sony Vegas so my Charlie tribute vid would be up to standards and THIS happens!

Originally I downloaded the trial to enter a code that makes the trial permanent. But that didn't work so I said 'Right, ok. Well Ill just make this vid I've been wanting to do for ages' and now I can't even open it! Is there any chance at all I can save it?! Does anyone have a code to make the trial permanent (I know it's illegal but oh well.) This sucks! It's all school's fault! *makes plans to burn down Windsor school for the 150th time* I need some support here. I'm now very stressed and frustrated *shakes fist at sony vegas*

The code didn't work? Are you sure that you generated the correct code, Jemma? You have to pick which program you want a code for, whatev Sony Vegas version you have. It worked fine for me. No problem at all. I'll try and upload it for you and see what happened. I've had stuff like that happened, I know you you feel! *hug*

My brother's the "Illegal Code Pro" Sassy. I just ask him to help me with it, I forgot where he got it from and I forgot what it's called but we tried it and it just wouldn't work. He chose the right one I think except my trial was 'Platinum' and I don't think it said that on the code thing. Anyway, when it didn't work I asked him whether we could try it again with a different code or something and he said Sony Vegas had probably just made it impossible to get that way but I didn't think he was certain about that?

The serial number JF-5WGG13-PSBJBX-FSBT79 nah. It wants it to start with a JH. Still didn't work. I hope I can save the vid. Part of it's been rendered but I didn't render the latest part which is quite good in my opinion.

He also said there was a chance it could kill my computer so is the (I forget what it's called) you linked capable of that? He said it was unlikely but still *hugs new laptop*

Edit: Yeah, the keygen isn't generating a code beginning with JH. Is it because I have a Platinum version? If I download a normal version and use the keygen will it work again and load my video?

Yeah, it doesn't have a code for Platinum, I didn't even know that they had that one. You could always download Sony Vegas 7.0 and use the code later but it wouldn't load your vid, unless I'm mistaken. But I'm almost positive. Sorry about that. I'd continue to search around.

Oh Jemma! I am soo majorly sorry..that is terrible. I know how hard it is to make an entire vid with no mouse! That's insane! I feel so bad Jemma, how stupid is that? I wish I could have seen the vid so much I know for a fact it would have been awesome, and I am so sorry it didn't work out. I have no clue why it would do that *hugs

Aw thanks Kate. I have rendered part of it already but not all of it so it's kinda impossible to complete now I would have loved for you to see it but alas I hope there is a Keygen somewhere for the Platinum Vegas but I don't think there is. I could import what I've already done in another vegas and finish it but I would have lost what I had done and not rendered

If I were you, if I wanted to save any of what I had done, I would download a new version and import what I had. So sorry.

Yep, I believe that's what I shall do. I had caught up on so much though. I had taught myself how to use the cookie cutter and made this pretty cool scene with it. But I guess it's better then nothing. At least if I download another one and use the keygen I can finish the vid in my time and not have only a month to complete it with the tricky software I had only a month to work out how to use (I say month but my trial decided to think the last 19 days don't count )

Still, as I said, better than nothing right =)
