And those of us who couldn't give a crap whom Kate chooses other than to want her to choose whatever makes her less annoying: Imagine how we feel, both about the rivalry and the screentime that boring "plot" gets.

So yes, sign me up on that advice train, too.

Dear Richard, Maybe he's born with it - Maybe it's Maybelline. Well, which is it? Also, why the crap don't you age at all? Since your actor is working on another series (as well as Lost? instead of Lost? who knows) - you can tell us now, in case he goes away, and we won't hold it against you.

Actually, I think the actor actually has that tattooed there, because in every other show I've seen him in, he's had the same eyeliner.

Heh. I don't think it's bad makeup per the aging, Trey, considering how much Ben aged between meeting Richard as a kid and now - 30 years. Putting Richard at about 30 when he met kiddie Ben (which is about on target, give or take five years), he should be 60 now. That's not how a 60-year-old looks. I think it's deliberate - I just hope we'll get a reason why. (I know, I know, faint hopes, but still.)

I can imagine it being a fountain-of-youth thing, or that people born on the island (? or whatever else might separate Richard from people who age normally, ie Ben) might have specific staying-young "abilities". That doesn't jive with the "everything has a scientific explanation" mantra, but at this point, I'm not buying that anyway.

Furthermore, World o' Cheesy Wigs aside, they seem to have done a decent job with other drastic aging jobs (Ben's dad Roger, especially), so you'd think they would have paid a little more attention to Richard, if it was indeed a slip-up. I can't imagine it was, though.
