Nice video! I like the "drunk drunk drunk" parts. |

Ah, and I was worried the video would die a quick uncommented death - unthinkable for a Sawyer vid, right? Thanks! It was actually tough to find four separate, distinctively-shot sets of drinking in a given scene, in a row, if you can believe it. Sawyer drinks a lot, but it had to be cut to be snappy, and the footage was a little annoying on that front.
(My favorite shot is the 'to make this world look new again' with Sawyer walking up on the cliff with the Others (just before 'when the sin smiles'), for whatever reason. I'm not sure why I think that particular shot's super-effective, but it works.) _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Sawyer + Gin Blossoms = WIN in my book!
Major kudos for not just repeating the same "drink enough," "drunk drunk drunk" and "gardens and the grave" shots! You found good clips to match each one without having to use the exact same shot over and over again and that's a lot harder than it might seem. *applause*
Enjoyed it a lot! |

Heh. I figured you'd like it, Aislynn! As far as the clips for drunk drunk drunk/garden and the grave, too, I clipped from the same scene, nonetheless - hopefully that gave it some thematic coherency between the lines, since it is what passes for a chorus in the song.
(I was considering doing 'Hold Me Down,' too, as I love the guitar hooks to it, but lyrically it doesn't quite fit. Oh well. 'Alison Road' would work for a shippy video, more or less, though.) _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

WOOT! Love up beat sawyer vids! haha i agree with Ais, you did a great job at not repeating shots (a very hard thing to do sometimes) I thought the song was great for Sawyer and the editing was very nice and fit the song. I especially liked the part of the song saying (she had nothing left to say so she said she loved me) With Kate shielding Sawyer. Great interpritation! Great job! |

Hee. Thanks, Trey. The next part of the line - that it was a lie, which is what Kate says - was what convinced me I had to do the song for Sawyer. I know there's not a lot of flashy stuff in the vid, but I figured it was too fast to sustain that. Ah well! _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. Great Sawyer vid!!!! I love this song now this must have been an easy vid to make. I mean that the lyrics fit the clips so perfectly it must've just called to you when you heard it. the drunk, drunk, drunk parts, the digging the graves. it all fit so well. i really liked it. great example of how you dont need effects to make a kick ass vid! gold from me _________________

Sorry for belated reply - back and forth at work. Thanks for the comments (and I appreciate the gold, too)! Yeah, the lyrics were easy as heck to match, and the guitar riff didn't hurt for pacing. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.
