Okay, so I saw it for a second time this night. This is what I have to say:
Spoiler:
You know what? I don't care what other people think! I love it. I think it was amazing! The filming was so artfully done. The angles, everything. It really made it seem like some amateurs were filming, but it was so professional. I mean, I think it would be so difficult to plan the camera angles like someone was filming. All the little stuff I noticed made it even more amazing. And I never got motion sickness. I hardly ever noticed that it wasn't filmed "normally".
And the coney island bits were brilliant. Like in the middle of all this death and catastrophe it cuts to a normal, happy day. And it made for an awesome ending. It took the whole 'filming with a video camera' thing, and took it to the next level, making it more creative and original. And I appreciate how they stuck to it and never deviated from it, excluding the very beginning.
I think it was fantastic.

I totally agree with you, Jourdan. The movie was amazing, and very professionally and artfully done.
Spoiler:
I loved the way it was filmed, and it never bothered me at all, I got used to it quickly. I was very entranced by the story, and almost felt like I was there because of their interesting filming, and I LOVED Hud. I mean, amidst all that insane action and their crazy situation, there was tons of comic relief throughout. I also enjoyed how the film got spliced, and every once in a while it would skip to the Coney Island trip. I thought that it made a cool perspective on now and then. Very cool stuff. I'd definitely go see it again.

Okay, this spoiler concerns the credits:
Spoiler:
Did anyone stay to the end? Because you hear something at the end. I couldn't figure out what it was at all though.
And apparently at the end on the last Coney Island bit, you see something fall into the ocean in the background. I didn't see it at all. I'm assuming it was probably as discreet as the Nigerian drug runner plan crashing in the background of Charlie's dream sequence (I found that pretty difficult to spot).
But anyway, we read the credits while we were waiting, and there were so many ridiculous names! The best though, by far was this:
Set Dresser Person: Greco.
Lol, that had us cracking up. Like, it's just Greco. Like Madonna. Ahhh funny stuff.

Spoiler:
I didn't see the monster drop into the water in the last scene either, I didn't realize it was there until after I saw the movie. I wanna go back and see it again. I watched all the credits too. The voice at the end whispers "It's still alive", but apparently if you play it backwards, it says "help me". Weird...me and my brother were noticing weird names in the credits too btw! lol

Alright people, so I did my research.
Spoiler:
So in the viral marketing campaign (which I guess is making up companies and such to seem like they're real when they're not- Like Gary Troup and the book and all the websites, like Hanso and Oceanic) there was this Japanese company, and before the movie came out they reported that one of their satellites fell out of the sky and into the ocean. So in the last scene what you see is the satellite falling into the ocean, thus waking the monster.

I just saw it...
WOW!!!!!
My heart was pounding even like, 30 minutes after. That was like... and hour and a half long roller coaster. Oh my gosh!!!! Not only was it well done and artsy and all that, it was terrifying! I mean, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm really surprised that I didn't piss myself. I mean seriously... especially when
Spoiler:
They are in the subway tunnel in the dark and he says "Turn on the night vision." I was like DON'T TURN ON THE NIGHT VISION!!!! And when the camera man got chewed on by the big monster and spit out, it was like WOAH!!!!! And it was sad too because I thought that guy was hilarious.
Favorite Line has got to be "Wouldn't it be terrifying if, like, a flaming homeless guy came running out at us right now???" LOL!
Anyway, I thought it was great. Terrific. _________________ Avi by Debbie Banner by CDS1...

Me and my brother were laughing for sooo long on that line, Freckles. Hud was such a great character.
I know!!!! It's such a pity that... well you know.
That movie was really good though. I gotta say. And I didn't stay till the end, but I looked it up on YouTube and it's a piece of audio that says "Help me" (or something like that). But, if you play it backwards, it' says "It's Still Alive". Creepy huh? I wonder if they'll make a sequel, or maybe another one that's from someone else's point of view... I don't know. It was cool though. _________________ Avi by Debbie Banner by CDS1...

I thought the audio was the other way around...I forget. Anyway, I thought the movie was incredible and I'd love to see it again. Very cool stuff. *nods* And I hear that they've already been planning a sequel.... _________________
It was ok. Started to slow and ended too sudden. There were alot of times i had to look away because of the motion sickness i got from the swinging camera. The middle section was good though, and the girl blowing up was just.. brilliant.

Just got back, and saw this film and got the tickets for free! tehe.
I loved the film, still feeling a bit queazy from it though I ended up feeling sick from near the beginning and then when I came out all 4 of us felt a bit sick.
I thought the film was done so artsy with the camera it worked so well, it was if it was you there, I thought it was cleverly done.
Spoiler:
Yeah with the nightvision that was great, we all knew it was the little things when all the rats were running in the direction they were going.
I jumped in my seat when the lights went out for the first time, the noises were so loud O_o.
I also loved the bit when they were on the bridge and you first see it's tail.
I thought this was a great film, and very cleverly done.
Also at the beginning when the bad robot bit came up me and my one friend who also loves lost kept saying 'Bad Robot' tehe.
The only thing I didn't think was as good was the camera how it survived everything it went through such as:
Spoiler:
when the helicopter went down
We also thought it was kinda funny how no matter how bad things were getting he just kept filming
Spoiler:
and even went back for the camera which then led to the one guys death.
I also loved the bit where they were going on about a hobo on fire that had me in stitches :lol.
I watched this movie tonight and I really liked it. As my friend said, you could tell it was a production by JJ. Just like with Lost, you don't get any answers but you get "clues" (what was with the white horses and the wagon in the middle of the street??) and the excitment is stretched to the max. And also, there's a monster involved and it happens on an island
Really great effects and the whole IDEA of the movie that it was going to be like you were there... really really cool. Fantastic, I was really freaking out at a few points.
The only minus is the camerawork even though it made it extremely realistic. Felt kinda dizzy. But overall, a really great movie that you just have to see at the cinema. The sound is awesome
