I was thinking Id share this with anyone interested in a good deal.
---------------------------------------------------------
Well Ive needed a DVD drive forever and a day.
Decided to finally get one but didnt want to wait for shipping.
Was at our local WalMart tonight and saw a:
HP dvd840e Super Multi External DVD Writer with Lightscribe and Double Layer
(if you want the internal its HP dvd840i - not sure if WalMart has the internal)
Was reading the box and it seemed to fit all my needs but I had to talk myself into it at 94 dollars.
Went to check out and at the register it was 44 dollars OFF.
Total cost 50 dollars!
(Ive seen them for a lot more elsewhere - 125 dollars on up)
There is nothing on the shelf that tells you about the rollback.
So if someone needs a DVD drive but you were lacking the extra funds check your local WalMart and see if they have one.
This DVD Writer does all formats and does CDs too.
Its gotten pretty good reviews and is mostly plug and play.

I believe that's what I have, and yes, it is a VERY good bargain!
I've always trusted HP, I have my HP computer, printer, and anything computer related that I buy, it must have come from HP, hehe! |
