|

Ha, I decided to make a topic for this, for people who don't know how to finish their movie (saving it) on WMM...I just posted this up for a member a few minutes ago (sorry if there's already a topic about this!)
If you wanna get your video on YouTube and/or LVI, follow this guide!
1. After you've finished your movie, go to: "File"
2. Then click: "Save Movie File"
3. Then click: "Next" (it should be set to save on My Computer)
4. Then name your movie, and select which folder you want it to be saved in
5. Then click: "Next"
6. Then click: "Best Fit To File Size"
7. Then choose to save it as "2" or "3" MB (they're both fine, but 3MB will give you a slightly better quality video
8. Then click "Next"
9. Your file should start to save
10. You can then upload it onto YouTube, and put it up here at LVI |

Maybe mine is different or something, because I have no problem with the kbps, my issue is the file size. The 2-3 MB doesnt work for me. It wont go that small, and as it gets smaller so does my kbps. And there is no picking "best file size" and then changing the MB. It doesnt work. You get one or the other. Usually I just save them to best for my computer and I've never had problems with youtube for this. I only have problems with making it acceptable for LVI. Does that make sense? _________________

Hmmm, aslong as it can be uploaded onto YouTube, shouldn't it be ok to put up here at LVI?
PM Hobbes about it |

Np, sorry I couldn't really help
Vista looks fancy...and it has built-in voice control
You might have a slightly different version of WMM to me... |

Yeah, I must. Vista is weird though. But the cons I think far out way the pros. My favorite old programs arent compatable for one, the security I want isnt compatable, and the image software is stupid as hell. Grr. But that's what happens when you order a new computer right after vista comes out. lol. _________________

I'm having huge problems saving on WMM if anybody can help..
I saved a sort of rough copy that was half finished about 2 days ago and it worked fine..now it's saying it can't save it either because the source files aren't available anymore, there is insufficient space or the place I'm trying to save it to doesn't exist.
My C drive barely has any space so I keep trying to save it to my external hard drive which I did before, and no luck. As far as I'm aware, all the clips from the video are still there, and I'm becoming really cheesed off! I want to see the final result
I don't really know if there's much I can do, but some help would be awesome :d |

hmmm.... I'm trying to think of what the problem could be here...
When you saved it a few days ago, did you save it as a movie file (like it says above) or just as a regular file?
I save my vids under My Videos in My Documents folder. I don't know if that helps...
And check and make sure that the original video clips still exist on your computer because that may be one of the reasons why it’s saying that the sources aren't available.
Ok so I hope that this helps you... feel free to PM me if you have any more problems....And sorry if this doesn’t help you at all, lol I tried. _________________ Morgan
