When does submitting start back up again btw? I'm guessing first you want to make sure everything on the site is okay...

Actually, you're free to start now. We've done a good deal of testing already, so I'm fairly sure it should all work, but if not then let me know lol (or I'll let you know...)

This is probably kind of shameful, but LVI 5.0 looks so incredibly amazing, I can barely remember what it looked like before. 
I love this. So much. That insanely long just-over-a-month-long wait was totally worth it.

lol can't yet. I might add that later. But if I allowed it right now it'd pose a security threat. But something along those lines is coming.

Very Cool ... I'm lovin it  ... was just checking out my profile etc and I noticed that I no longer have a Silver Council pick for my Water vid... I mean it's cool I have a Silver Viewer Pick now but I didn't loose my Gold Council Pick for my Ghost vid...  .... or did you council members decide it really didn't deserve the Council Pick 
Anyway ... I'm off to check out more of the site... I love the idea of the voting on the vids ...

I'm working on an official post right now to explain all the changes, but short and sweet: the CPs aren't really standard anymore. They are bonus awards like the Monthly Contest Awards, and only come in one form: Gold. We thought there might be a few less... angry feelings... towards us CMs, and a lot less stress for us when we're not determining the value of every vid on the site ( ), if we restrained our judging to the vids on the higher side of the spectrum and treated our award as a really extra extra special thing - but otherwise just fade into the background and let the real bulk of the judging be taken part in by everyone , so we're not the sole voters deciding how good a vid is.
By doing that, we eliminated the Silver CPs, but we transfered them all into VPs, since our votes also count towards the Viewer vote (we being viewers and all). So don't worry, your vid is still a great vid, and recognized by the Council . That Silver just swapped places, that's all. |
