Oh please someone help me! I've tried and tried, (with a nap in between, I was up until 5:30 finishing my latest vid, and the neighbors contracctors started working at 8:30, do the math) most of the day, and I can't get my vid to upload to putfile. I did everything right, It's under the 10MB max, it's WMV formatted, I clicked on the video box, everything, and after 2 hours, a little alert comes back stating that "The document contains no data".
I asked them, and they told me to email the file to them (which I actually found very odd for some reason) but I go thru Yahoo which takes forever an a day to upload an attachment. I'm gonna try once more with my hotmail address, but does anyone have any more brilliant ideas, and if so, please tell me...

The only thing I can think of right now is upload it to YSI if you can and someone here can probably upload it to PutFile for you. Other then that I can't really thnk of anything. _________________

That message appears when someone takes a really long time to upload a video, and the internet connection dies out I think the exact same thing happened to me when I was trying to upload a 1GB file of the LVI Master file lol! I guess that's about the equivalent of your video with dial up lol. Curious... did you leave the computer unattended while it uploaded? that's what happened to me |

The first time I tried, I went to bed. The second time, I was playing solitaire waiting for it. I'm gonna use lostcaliers suggestion. I'll note it in the description part, I guess... _________________ Get Ready to Disappear...

Sorry, forgot to mention that this was on Yousendit when that happened to me. I don't think it matters where you're uploading it I think it only matters if you leave the upload unattended or not.. I left it on overnight, and it screwed up on me |

Well it just happened to me on YSI, so I resaved the file, and I'm trying again. And by leaving it unattended, what are you supposed to do? That got me a bit confuzzled.
BTW, I'm not on Dialup, so I have no clue why this is acting up the way it is. _________________ Get Ready to Disappear...

hmmm... you could try surfing the web while you do it maybe...?
Btw, is it a ZIP file...? if it is, then there's your answer to why it doesn't work on putfile >.< |

I didn't have it zipped, but I do now. I remember that I had a space at Tripod that I wasn't using. Eventually I'll go ahed and post all my LostVids there, but for now, let's get this one uploaded so I can submit!

I have a question about putfile, and as I always say, lol, if it's already been answered on here, sorry! I never have time to fully read through a thread.
Now, at the cost of possibly looking really stupid, can you actually download the vids on putfile, or just view them? Maybe it's my browser, but it only lets me view vids and not save them to my hard drive. _________________ Heather |

yeah I NEVER answered THAT one yet Uruviel (/dripping with sarcasm)
Okay, I'm flip-flopping on the WM Recorder thing you don't need it for your own safety.. Putfile is just affiliated with it, so they want people to get it in order to help themselves out. I think you can just use the direct hosting file from there, and HOPEFULLY they won't be able to do shit about it LOL
so if you want to download a video, right click > fgo to "properties" and select the video sorce from that, copy, and paste it in the address bar at the top. HTat should get you a working download. |

LOL, sorry Hobbes.....
Still can't get it to download, I think it's probably my browser. I'll have to play around with some of these when I have more time (that won't be soon lol) _________________ Heather |

Uhm...seems simple enough, but the problem for me is that I can't even open the vid page without getting a .dll error/freeze/blue screen. I never even get a chance to right click! And the problem remains even with WMRecorder cuz I still need that #&%)/& link... I give up! |

try reinstalling Windows media player 10, Starchaser that's what the authorities say is the leading cause of these problems
OR, just sign up on the forums at Putfile and ask them what's wrong lol |
