Maybe I'm delusional but they would lose a lot of shock value if they kill Charlie after having Desmond predicting his death. So I think he's safe. Or maybe I'm in denial. I need another beer.

Long story, here's the short one:

There was a clip shown of Charlie and Desmond fighting:

and it's probable that after that, Desmond says to Charlie that 'No matter what I try to do, you're going to die'.

The spoiler junkies at the fuselage are still trying to piece everything together but that's what they think will happen. There's also the abc press release that said that Desmond would drop a bombshell on Charlie that will change his life forever. And the actor who plays Ben/Henry said he was really worried that Charlie was going to die this year.

JJ and Damon are running a tap in my brain to find out which characters I like the most and they're killing them all off in order. Also, they can tell who I HATE and those characters will never die

If they kill Charlie then I dunno if I'll bother watching Lost. What possible impact would it have? "You're going to die" *charlie dies* Hmm, right that. Either that or they just want to get rid of Charlie to have Daire, which is the dumbest idea ever.
WHO are we gonna watch? They're gonna kill about 3 characters a season are they? What's the point. Before long most of the original Losties will be dead.

Lost is in serious danger of Jumping the Shark and it's only the start of Season 3 *sigh*

It's nice to see that some people will be upset by Charlie's death.

If they kill Charlie, I think I'll still watch but I won't be invested much in the fandom, I'm afraid...

But I think he's going to be ok... where's the shock value in having Desmond predicting Charlie's death and then Charlie actually dying?? Where's the fun in that??

(appart from Charlie-haters out there, who will enjoy Charlie's death, no matter how it's presented.
