... I think it's safe now to go without spoiler tags, huh?

From this week, did you notice (I'll spoiler it in case somebody hasn't seen 4.06 yet )
Spoiler:
the cut on the Doctor's hand looked a lot like the ones everyone had in "The Empty Child?" What in the world could THAT mean???
Really? I didn't notice that but yeah, that's curious indeed! I wonder if there's any connection between these two stories?? It could be since that would've been the second reference to The Empty Child in a row (after last week's "Are you my mommy?" ). Do you remember how these Nanogenes (or whatever they were called) in The Empty Child recognized the connection between mother and child? I can't quite see the "big picture" yet, but you could be right, Ais.

Spoiler:
David Tennant really blew me away with his acting in this one, as well. His expressions when he realized Jenny has two hearts and so, really IS his daughter, another Time Lord like himself (did you notice how they side-stepped what you call a female Time Lord? Fans used to call Romana from the Original Who series a Time Lady but I tend to prefer Time Lord whether they're male or female, but that's just me. Since it's the name of their race, I wouldn't think it should be gender specific. ). Then later that scene when Jenny died...
Absolutely!! David was amazing in this one! You know, I had some trouble getting used to Ten at first mainly because he seemed rather "emotionless" compared to Nine. Christopher Eccleston was brilliant when it came to showing emotions. You could so see the pain, grief, joy, fear on his face. Ten, in contrast to that, was the rather crazy and careless one at first and I didn't like it much. Fortunately though, there were episodes like "The Girl in the Fireplace", "Doomsday", "Human Nature/The Family of Blood" or "The Last of the Time Lords" where David could prove that he is as good at showing deeper emotions as Chris. Remember how he broke down in "Family of Blood" when he found out that he wasn't John Smith after all? Or when he started crying when the Master died in his arms? Wow, those were fantastic moments!! And he definitely did a brilliant job here as well.

Spoiler:
Well, I figured by that point that she would get killed, then would probably regenerate after Ten, Donna and Martha left. But still DT did a fabulous job with those scenes, how he seemed so enraged and unhinged holding that gun to the guy's head! I just absolutely wanted to *hug* him by the time this ep was done!
Yeah, me too.
I wonder if we'll see Jenny again this season? By the way, did they ever give any further information on the Doctor's family and his first child on the old DW shows?

Spoiler:
Donna was fantastic again this week, IMO! I loved how she was the one to figure out what those numbers meant and it was the key to figuring out the whole mystery! And I loved how she accepted Jenny without hesitation and really pushed the Doctor into confronting the reasons why he was afraid to do the same thing.
Oh yes! Donna is made of awesome!! Like I said earlier, I love how she's kinda "completing" the Doctor. She's his conscience whenever he's about to do something stupid. She's his moral whenever he finds himself struggling. She's his tolerance whenever he doesn't want to accept something or someone. I also loved how Donna and Martha instantly got along and even kinda "conspired" against the Doctor.

Spoiler:
Though now I'm completely scared for her since she made the statement about wanting to travel with the Doctor for forever... Noooooo, Donna! Don't say that! Look what happened to Rose after she said that!!!
True dat
Also... call me selfish... but I want a Rose/Doctor happy end....

I'm REALLY enjoying this season and am looking forward to all of the stuff we know that's supposed to be coming
Spoiler:
especially Rose and Jack meeting up again! I hadn't even thought that far ahead to realize how cool that would be to see them together again! I hope they at least have something about them talking about how Rose made him immortal, either her finding out about it or, if she already now knows, then them talking about in it SOME way. I hope it doesn't get lost in all the shuffle of whatever else is going on, you know?
Spoiler:
Yes, I totally agree with you. I mean it's a very important story after all, becoming immortal. The writers have to mention it at some point, in a more serious and appropriate way. I mean, just imagine Rose and Jack meeting each other again and Jack going "Hey sweetheart! Nice to see you again, you look lovely! By the way, you made me immortal!" ... WTF!!
I'm also hoping that we will see the Master again in the S4 finale. He was awesome and I'd rather have him in the finale than the stupid Daleks.

Spoiler:
I've seen the pictures and filiming reports of the Christmas episode. It's still David Tennant (and will be for all of next years specials). He doesn't have any one compainion, instead picking one up of a one off each time (like Astrid.)
Spoiler:
Meh... there goes my dream of a Rose/Doctor happy ending....

Next week looks kinda funny.
It sure does! I love the episodes in which they made a famous person. "The Shakespeare Code" was great and I also loved the moments with Queen Victoria in "Tooth and Claw".
Donna meeting Agatha Christie... that has to be good!

Since this has been my week to offend a bunch of people accidentally, I figured I was better safe than sorry, lol!

It seems odd that they've referenced that twice now, if they're not planning on picking up on it in some way, huh? *ponders*

The very first Doctor traveled with Susan, his granddaughter, though some fans quibbled over whether that meant she was really his child's child or if it was more of an adopted thing. Mainly, the argument was that the Doctor was asexual so therefore would've never HAD a child in the first place! (The real reason why Susan was made his granddaughter? Back in those days, they didn't want to show a young woman traveling alone with a man, even if he was old enough to be her grandfather! So thus, he became her grandfather, lol! )

I know what you mean! But of course, since you know that they'll continue the series even after DT leaves, that they won't really be able to have a happy ending together. Unless of course (spoilered even though it's just fan conjecturing)
Spoiler:
they have an ep where it shows the Doctor living out the rest of Rose's life with her (kinda similar to the Star Trek: TNG episode "The Inner Light"). It would basically prove what he told her, that she could live the rest of her life with him but he can't live out the rest of his life with her. Which would be a devastating ending to see an elderly Rose die but would at least, be an ending, I suppose.
But I don't wanna see Rose die! *was trying to be a brave fangirl but I just can't imagine seeing something so tragic!* I think I'd rather them just be separated again, so that at least there was the illusion of hope that they'd one day be together again!

Spoiler:
Woot!!! Are there any spoilers that she's going to die??? Noooo! That can't happen!! I don't want her to die After all the losses the Doctor already had to endure they just can't to this to him!!!
Anyway, how did you like the last episode?
I totally enjoyed it!! Admittedly, the story was very, very silly. This had to be the silliest episode in a long time, but I just loved it!
I looooved the actress who played Agatha Christie. She was brilliant!! (She reminded me a lot of that woman who plays Dr. Hahn on Grey's Anatomy, except for that she was much more "human" ) That little moment with her and Donna having a conversation about love and men, wasn't it just so sweet?
This episode, inspite of its totally silly story, had so many great moments:
- "I need a shock" -->
Donna just rocks off my socks! She is so much fun!!
- when the old man was talking about never having grandchildren, giving his son that piercing look
- "I was going to say you are innocent..."
- and, like in all the other "DW meeting a celebrity" - stories, we had the Doctor's companion giving way too early hints to that person's later works. I just love that!!
I'm really a fan of those "DW meeting a celebrity" - episodes. The Shakespeare Code was already a great episode, but this one was even better!!
I... ummm... totally did not understand what was going on in the trailer for last week's episode, but we'll see soon enough.
I so can't wait for the finale.
Spoiler:
I hope it'll be a long one like last season (episode 11 - 13) with lots and lots of Rose/Ten stuff.

I loved last nights eppy
The needing a shock moment was the best for me Donna is just the best I loved aswell when he needed the salt and she got the bag of salt and he went too salty lmao. Her face and saying about how can it be too salty. I loved the whole charades of that scene
I love how they always think that the Doctor and Donna are a couple tehe.
I laughed so much aswell when before changing into the wasps them turning purple lolz.
isn't the next episode in 2 weeks cause of the eurovision?
Spoiler:
I'm almost certain the first episode Rose is back in properly hardly has any of the Doctor (this seasons doctor-lite episode) and is more about Rose helping Donna. I can't remember the whole story that I read though.
I loved last nights episode. It was fun and I really liked how you were guessing until the final reveal. _________________

I remember hearing that, too, because people were upset that they thought they were bringing Rose back for that one episode and she and the Doctor were going to keep missing each other through the whole thing and never see each other or just meet up at the end or something like that!
I loved this week's ep! It was great silly, zany fun and the Doctor and Donna continue to be a great team! ♥! I really do love them together! Not together together, despite my icon, I should add. I think they work perfectly just as they are and adding any sort of shippiness to it (especially the dreaded "unrequited love" thing ) would be a bad idea.
I SO loved that poisoning scene, lol! Although, as I've seen people point out, they were much better at charades in the first episode! I can hardly wait for the next new ep, though I'm sad that the season's going to be over with so soon now! I wish we at least got 22 - 24 eps like most American shows do. Or at least, like they used to do before the strike through all the schedules off.
Just watched my first ever Dr. Who episode on YouTube, my mom recommended it because it's her favorite Episode. It's the one called "Blink" with Sally Sparrow and oh..my....god those weeping angel statues are going to give me nightmares tonight.
Very good episode though, and I love David Tennant, both as Barty Crouch Jr. from HP and the Goblet of Fire, and as Dr. Who. I actually saw a Graham Norton episode where he was interviewing him, and they had the Police Box and were messing with this one guy. For those that don't know, haven't seen it (most of you might, I just dunno lol. Graham Norton's a pretty funny guy with a show on the BBC that interviews actors and whatnot, pretty cool.)
Here's the clip of it, and I love it, it was so funny!

Lol, Erin! I loved that clip! "Would you describe it as TARDIS-shaped?" Thanks for that! I've seen bits of Graham Norton's shows before but I've never seen that one!
And ZOMG, "Blink" is an amazing ep! Guaranteed to give nightmares to even the sturdiest souls, IMO! <-- This smiley just saw it and is determined not to blink ever again!
Anyway, hope you get the chance to check out some of the other eps!
Oooo, Charlie, isn't that a fabulous trailer? Thanks so much for the link! I am SO stoked for these last episodes! *bounces* And you know what? My Donna *fangirling* just increased, like, 1000% with this:
Spoiler:
She sounds happy for Rose to be coming back! Absolutely NO jealousy on her part! *loves Donna liek woah*
Torchwood spoilerish if you haven't seen from 2x07 - 2x13 and, you know, care:
Spoiler:
I love it when you can really tell that both of these shows are existing in the same universe! Unless, of course, this is supposed to be a different something in the darkness sort of thing that Owen talked about seeing when he was dead...
Back to the trailer now:
Spoiler:
I'm kinda wondering about something somebody pointed out on LiveJournal. Rose seems not only older but more hardened. Not only is she packing a ginormous gun (and they've really been pushing the Doctor's No Tolerance For Guns policy this year ), but at :12 the building blows up and a guy clearly gets knocked to the ground and she doesn't seem to care. I really hope this isn't going to be a evil!Rose or something like that and not really Rose at all but some sort of false creation from the Darkness/Daleks/whomever just to get our hopes up and then it not really be Rose after all. I will be MOST DISPLEASED if that happens!

Me too, me too, me too!!! Even though I'm still a Rose fangirl, I love Donna so much! She's the type of person you'd love to have in your family... like a wonderful auntie that you could hug and kiss and cuddle.

I agree about Rose looking more hardened and kinda bitter but I doubt that it's Evil!Rose or not the real Rose. The writers are usually rather kind with the DW fans. I can't remember them upsetting the fans by messing around with their favourite characters in any of the seasons so far. I don't think they would lead us into a trap.
I must admit though that I was worried myself, too, when I saw the look on the Doctor's face when Donna told him that Rose is back and asked him if that wasn't a good thing. He looked rather worried there
Well, all this doesn't change anyting about the fact that I'm so excited about the season finale and Rose coming back. I'm still hoping... probably beyond any hope... that there will be some kind of happy end
It's the eigth episode next Saturday, so we're not that far away from it anymore!!!
