I have a few questions to make sure I understand the rules.
Are we allowed to use children's books?
We can use a book even if it hasn't been made into a movie, right?
This is going to be a tought contest. I've read some great books and I've had several that brought Lost to mind but I never thought about making them into a video.I'll have to get busy figuring out what book to use.

Thanks for the clarification.
I thought if I found a young childrens book that fit with Lost I might be able to tell a complete story because the book would not be very long so therefore easier to do a shorter video.
I have an idea for a book that has one scene in it that I think could be an interesting Lost video.
I'm glad we can choose between telling the whole story of a book in a video or just using a few scenes from the book to make a video.
There are alot of great books out there so I hope I can figure out which one would work best for a video.
I have one quick question. If I choose to only do a scene from a book but I choose the final scene should I post in the videoes description that the video may imply how the actual book ends and therefore may spoil the book?

Great idea
So if we choose to do the whole story do we have to include every event or just the main ones? I'm almost certain I'm going to do The Host as I have some awesome ideas for fitting it with Lost. _________________

Question - Can we make it like a trailer for the book instead of showing specific scenes? _________________

Did you ever confer? Not trying to nag, just saw that a few other people had their questions answered, so I wasn't sure. |

WOW that's so exciting!!
So just to make myself clear ( I know I'm stupid xD) I choose one of my favourite books (for example..Harry Potter or something) and try to tell the story in my video? Well thats hard but I'll try. And is it bad if my book already GOT a movie? _________________ |

I have another query.
In my book, a character jumps down an elevator shaft but I wanted to set that portion of the story on the island. Could I take creative licence and change it to a cliff or does it have to be exactly as in the book? _________________

Sorry it took so long to respond guys but we hope we answered all your questions
Allie - Sorry, but since you'd be using another "Dracula" in your video, even though it's not from the Dracula movie, that's not allowed because we're asking for the losties to play the characters Although if you want to use scenes of the Lost actors in other shows/movies, Claire in Brick for example, then that's fine
Im1oftheOceanic6 - That's up to you! If you think you're vid might spoil readers of the book, then it's up to you if you want to warn them But it won't count for/against you in the competition.
Becca - Just using the main events in the story would suffice if you're going to re-tell the whole story And since we're asking to re-tell the story, we'd like it to be as it is in the book and not change plotlines. Although there is a few elevator scenes when the guys go down to the hatch in the season 4 finale ;P
SawyerLittleton - Yes, that's right No, it's not bad that you're book is a movie, but if it has been, you can't use footage from that movie in your video
Elyse - Sorry, we're not going to allow trailers because title cards would be helping to tell the story and we want to see it re-told with our losties _________________

Sorry, I'm not sure it i understand your question correctly. Are you asking if you can change the island background to new york, or new york to the island? Your wording is a bit confusing. _________________ Morgan
