I am so sick of being a NOVICE VIDDER. I really don't want to be one anymore. So if someone would please tell me how I can stop making crappy vids, that would be lovely. I WANT to impress, I really do, but I have tried and it does not seem to be good enough.

i know that wen im watching a vid and there are little clip cuts that have been missed, i will never vote it gold. Im not sure what there actually called but you know when you see a lil split second clip that's been left behind accidentally? a lot of youtube vids have this issue. they take away from the vid. '

, but your idea must be good. just another jate/pbj/skate vid, unless mindblowing, prob wont do all that well. thats why i loved your buffy/sawyer vid. Genius idea! The reason i dont think it got a gold was cos you could see that it was scenes from Lost mixed with scenes of Buffy quite clearly, not ur fault if you cant cut them, but if you can create clips that if ppl did not know better, they would think it had happened, they get high votes.

Clip choice is a big one, especially if there's a lyrics that fits perfectly with the song/idea. use it. makes it easier to follow.

effects are not necessary, becaue my beaituful disaster series only ever really used the fade in/out effect and i have two gold CP's for them, but if you do use them, be consisten. dont just for some reason fade out in one clip and never do it again. Beat use is also a great friend of mine and keeps the watcher interested. that i think should be your main goal of a vid, getting ppl to want to watch it, to want to know how it ends. with ur Buffy/Sawyer vid, i know i wanted to watch it just because of the idea so you have the right mindset

I don't have any golds either. You're not alone. I have 3 silvers and two bronze, and it annoys me that I have bronzes. I dunno why. I understand about the problems with WMM, I've tried a thousand times to get rid of 'clip cuts' and she said that it wasn't just the program, but I've tried removing the clip and it still doesn't leave. it's just there, so that leads me to believe that there are a few glitches in the program. Didn't you download the Vegas trial? Use that! You can find codes that let you keep it longer I think.

the clip cutting used to be a big issue for me, but eventually it stopped. sometimes when you click on a clip on the timeline that's meant to be say, kate on the beach you see a tiny clip of the scene before so i just move alone the timeline little bits at a time and then cut the clip. that way i still get most of the clip i want and the split is gone.

Yeah, its just pure bad luck that your vid came out when Bel's did

i dont get consistent golds either. the ones i do get are for vids that I really enjoyed making and worked hard on. i usually make three or four drafts before i submit. i watch it over and over until im bored of it, usually, to make sure there's no editing issues.

im sure you'll get better over time.

Oh, come on. Your Sawyer/Buffy vid is better than anything I could've done. It looked amazing for a WMM.

And I'm a huge Skater too.

Besides, Jack saying that he'd come back for Kate after leaving the island, really pissed me off. lol Keep making more vids!
