So I'm transferring all of my files to my new laptop - yay! I'm going through some pretty crappy motions to save all my AVI HD Lost episodes. I was wondering - what format do you guys get/use episodes for vidding?

All of my well-working ones are AVI.

Yes, I'm probably one of the most unqualified people to answer this, since I use clips instead of whole episodes. They're in WMV format because that's the way josh-holloway.com and evangeline-lilly.net put them up!

Mainly, I wanted to respond because I keep forgetting to tell you how much your Jeeves/Locke avi and sig make me chuckle! Bravo!

And major congrats on the new laptop!

All my episodes are in AVI and they work fine with both WMM and Sony Vegas.

I use a mix of AVI and WMV but the program I use--Adobe Premiere--don't take AVI files so I have to go into Windows Movie Maker and save the AVI file to WMV. Either that or I use a converter that changes an entire AVI episode to MPG format.

Thank you guys so much for answering. And thanks Aislynn for the comment on the locke/jeeves thing. Though I've gone and changed it now!

Tee hee... Isn't that always the way it goes? Well, at least I didn't wait until after you changed it to compliment you on Locke/Jeeves!
