ok it's time for another fallen_angel review

lol

ok so i just got back from seeing Underworld: Evolution and it was awesome..... granted it was no Underworld but it did raise the bar for most sequels

not to mention Scott Speedman is mega-hot lol actually so is Kate Beckinsale

It answered a few things that I wondered from the first film and left me very satisfied at the end

it actually even left the story open for a third film... but we'll see

A great film to sink your teeth in to (lol sorry couldn't help it) **** 4 stars

Anyway, I saw this movie too and I thought it was quite better than the originial. It was more involving than the first one. I liked the first one well enough, but there was something MISSING. And I'm not saying that in hindsight either, I noticed that when I was watching it orginially. The payoff wasn't great and the storyline wasn't nearly as interesting in my opinion. This, to me, felt like a more "solid" story. The payoff was way better. There was more at stake too, I felt. Definitely recommend.

And by the way, when they say "R." They seriously mean it. The sex scene was insane.

yeh i must admit... the plot was much more involved in this film, but i can't part myself from my love of the the first film

it is great though how U:E brought a sense of closure for the whole story and the characters.... and THAT sex scene.... tell me about it, it was hot lol... i can't belive kate beckinsale's husband allowed that to happen considering he's the director and all

oh and another little tidbit... the young selene was actually played be her daughter lilly awwwww

hehe "much more at stake" lol

Ooo, wish I could've gone with ya, Vicky! *envy* Well, of course, it's not like I can't see this movie in my own country... But still!

So glad to read your opinion of it. I loved the first one (though I have a strange habit of double-featuring it with Van Helsing, guess it's just a Kate Beckinsale thing or something... I really WOULD love to one day make a Van Helsing Underworld crossover vid with Kate trying to slay herself.

). Anyway, I'm looking forward to this one whenever I get the chance to see it! I loved the commentary track on the first one (yes, I, DVD nerdgirl, am SCARY big on commentary tracks...

) and hope they'll have an equally entertaining one on this movie's eventual DVD special-superduper- golly-gee-whiz-wow-o-wow edition!
