Oh good, easy questions!
To fade, you can either put your cursor at the end of the clip at the top (there is a small blue corner) and when a tab pops up that says 'fade offset', you can pull it over and fade it as much as you want. If you don't want it to just fade to black, you can click and drag your next clip part way through the other clip and it will fade to the next clip.
As for slowing down and speeding up clips - Put your cursor at the end of the clip you want to slow or speed and hold the control (ctrl) button. A little squiggly line cursor will appear. if you want to slow it down, drag it outwards, if you want to speed it up drag it inwards. For faster, the clip gets smaller, and for slower, the clip get bigger.
Did you understand that at all? _________________
