So I want to make a movie trailer, but I've run into a little problem. I never noticed just how much music is played during your standard Lost episode until I actually needed the sound from the original source. Now it's like, every single line of dialogue I need, there's the show's soundtrack behind it. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for how to minimize it or, ideally, get rid of it completely. I know that's probably next to impossible and the best I can hope for is just to try to mask it with the actual trailer's music, but I figured if anyone out there would know it'd be you guys. Thanks! |

Wow, I know I'm reviving a dead-ish thread, but I can't believe that no one answered you. It's probably because everyone has the same problems. I've made two trailers, check them out if you like and see how it worked with mine. One thing, is you have to have (well, not have to, but it's best) a song that corresponds with the commercial (or more than one) playing and that sometimes cancels a bit of th background music out, yet isn't too loud that you can't hear the liens. You just really have to mess with the volume levels for different parts of the vid, yet try and keep it as consistent as possible. In my Jate/Skate trailer, I had one part when you could really hear the waves crashing to the shore in the distance, and it bugged me, but I just did the best that I could. Just mess around with it. I know I'm probably too late and that you already figured it out, but I thought I'd help if I could. _________________
