|
|
So my Sayid video, the latest one up there, has a shot of Sun dead center in the video, and that's what Youtube chose for its icon. No offense to Yunjin Kim, but as she appears in the video for all of two seconds, it's not really fitting. I don't want to mess with the video itself just to get a better icon, so is there a way to select either of the other two icon points that Youtube posts on the 'My Videos' page, or something such as that, to actually show Sayid/Naveen for the video?
Thanks in advance! I've had good luck with icons before, generally speaking, and never had the wrong person in the shot - until now. Guess there's a first time for everything! _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Here's what I found on that matter:

While we may add this feature in the future, there is currently no way to change the screen shot that we capture from your videos for thumbnails.
What you could do in the meantime is edit the video so it is just a little bit shorter and then upload this new edited video to the site. YouTube will grab a different screen shot of the new video because the length of the video is then different. |
Well, I hope they'll add this feature one day because some of my video icons suck big times, too. _________________

iMeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem!
I know youtube it hot shit and everything. But I'm personally thinking of ditching them and going with iMeem full time.
First of all, they destroy the quality of the videos you upload. Not only with their shitty flash conversion, but also by entirely ignoring your AP and stretching your vid to suit their will.
Check this out: http://superkc.imeem.com/
iMeem maintains your Aspect Ratio (note the difference between Monsters and I Feel Fine) and has the coolest frickin' "preview shot" ever. It's a collage of 9 different shots from your video.
Now that? Is cool. And so much less clunky than youtube, plust you can embed the media just like in YouTube.
(Embeddable media!)

I vote for hostile takeover of LVI by iMeem. Haha. Is that wrong?
PS - I have seen other folks in other fandoms (Supernatural) using iMeem for several months now.
ETA: I'm actually going to make a separate post about this. But I'll leave this here. |
