(Btw, I'm sooo going to make a Faramir and Boromir vid. I'm currently getting all the scenes I need  )

Oh *SQUEE!* That would be amazing! I still have a Boromir AU vid in mind (and a Faramir one, too ) but I haven't tried the DVD ripper yet.  As soon as I'm "in between" vids again and once this house repair stuff is done, I SO want to do some LotR vids! 
I'm a total Men of Gondor Gal! Particularly for the Brothers 'mir (as one of my LotR friends use to call them! ). 
Back on topic: I still want to see this movie! Yes, even despite the fact that I'm not known for my love of gory things. It just looks so darn visually interesting, I'm willing to risk inciting my squeamish nature... |

Same with me. I've only made Lost vids so far and now's the time where I really feel like trying something else. LotR is a MUST, but I would also love to make a Billy Elliot and a X-Files vid at some point. Hope I'll have enough time for all that.

I sooo agree! I also really like Aragorn, but Faramir and Boromir always had a very special place in my heart *sigh*
Geez, we're slowly turing this into a "drooling over Sean Bean and David Wenham" thread.

You know, I was kinda sceptical at first, too. I saw "Sin City" and I just hated it because it was so brutal and disgusting. 300 is still kinda brutal, but to me, it wasn't much worse than Gladiator, LotR or any other movie with a lot of fighting scenes.

I didn't know that they use Bulgaria folklore music...at the end of the movie when the Queen sorrows over the death of Leonidas you can hear a beautiful bulgarian folk song - both instrumental and vocal from Rhodope mountains region in Southern Bulgaria. The name of the song in the movie's soundtrack is "Message for the Queen", composed by Tyler Bates, an US film music producer and composer and based on "Zaydi, zaydi yasno Slance".

great movie.
and it contains one of hte best fight scenes ever! this changing between fast and slow is so awesome. and the story is great :]
