October 2015
Contest: Super Villains
Deadline: 31st October
It’s October and Halloween is almost upon us, so this month we’re celebrating super villains! Mwahahaha!
Your challenge is to make a video about your favourite super villain and show us just why they’re so bad!
Perhaps you think The Governor or the deal-making Rumplestiltskin are irredeemable characters. You may choose to focus on a character who is unquestionably evil, or someone more controversial if you prefer. Are you a comic book fan who wants to show the DC villains up to their old nasty tricks? Does Voldemort give you the creeps? Whether you love the character or hate them, your task is to show us why they deserve to be labelled a super villain!
To give your videos an extra-evil bonus, we’d love to hear some classic Halloween tunes too! But whilst we encourage the use of Halloween music, it's not a required part of the contest. If you need any inspiration, there’s a handy website dedicated to villains here and a list of Halloween songs here. We look forward to seeing your videos and if you have any questions, just ask!
The Rules
Specific Contest Rules
• Make a video about the super villain/s of your choice and show us why they’re evil!
• Multi-fandom is allowed
• Canon only. No AUs or OCs.
• Running time should be under five minutes. We suggest three to five minutes.
• The more creative, the better. Don't be afraid to take risks.
• When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "October 2015 contest submission" exactly in your vid's description.
General Contest Rules:
• Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page.
• All regular submissions Rules apply.
• Only one entry per vidder.
• Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh. (Please contact a CM if you wish to enter a previously-submitted video)
• Please do not use Rapidshare, Yousendit, Mediafire, or Sendspace as your only hosting place as the links tend to expire quickly.
• If you're using Youtube as your primary link, please also provide us with an alternative link. Far too often, YT is either disabled or muted by the time the contest is ready to be judged. Mediafire and zshare are just a couple of the sites out there that can be used as reliable backup links. We do realise that there have been a lot of issues with file-sharing websites recently but if you can find anywhere that you're comfortable uploading to and that is easily accessible, that would be great!
• Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available to be watched at least until after the deadline has passed. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.
• Have fun! _________________
