In honor of 4-8-15 Stacy (Fishbiscuits42) and I went on our own Lost adventure.

We started our journey looking for a sign. We weren't sure what we were looking for, but we knew we would know it when we stumbled upon it. As with anything though, the more one searches the more elusive signs can be. We decided we would let our destiny find us and let the
path lead us where it would.

Unsure where we were headed next, we were lead to a mythical statue. It was placed upon
the mount to honor the ancient ones of this land. After surveying the land we were compelled to move the heavy boulders which disguised the first hidden hatch.

We explored the contents of this first hatch, "The Buffalo", before leaving the hatch just as we'd found it.

Next we found ourselves drawn to an out of the way farm. We were careful not to alert the near-by boars to our presence. Luckily for us Mikhail was nowhere around this farmstead. However his pet cat Nadia kept a close watch on us. The whole place had an eerie feeling, like
there were eyes in the trees watching us closely. We decided this hatch could wait for another day. We bid farewell to Nadia and were back on the hunt for the next hatch.

The next stop was Kate's motel. While Kate was long gone to the next local and next alias, we went in search of any messages from her left in the near-by mailbox.

Hidden in plain sight, this hatch proved one of the trickiest to break into. Numbers came into play as only 3 special numbers would grant the enlightened to enter. After cracking the code, we explored the hatches content. We left a special message for the next visitors and were back on our way again.

We were drawn to what we perceived to be a welcome to the Other's camp. But it proved to be merely a decoy. The hatch we sought proved elusive. As the natives eyed us suspiciously, we feared this hatch might be merely a set-up. We took off from the village, heading into the
forest. We climbed into the enveloping branches of the trees, hiding from the Others as we searched high and low for the next hatch. We waited in the brush for the Others to pass before making our way for the security fence.

We searched the security fence for some secret code, some hint of an entrance into the magical land beyond. While the land was full of promise and great joy to be had, we knew we could not let temptation take us off of our path.

With such a long journey we were feeling weary. We needed inspiration and hope to continue. So we stopped by Boone Hill to pay respect to the fallen. With a little help from our friends above we found strength to continue. We found ourselves lead to a 3rd hidden
hatch. Beside ancient columns and below crumbled ruins we uncovered the hatch. We couldn't stay long as we felt destiny calling us on. We left a quick message for the next traveler along this dusty path. We could feel the end was growing close.

We traveled on through the great expanse. There was nothing much to see but rolling land and wild animals. Soon like a beacon, we saw it rising into the sky. We weren't sure where we were heading, but we let destiny lead us on.

We soon found ourselves lost in Angelus. Unsure where to go next, we found the beacon we'd followed was the steeple to a forgotten old church. As we marveled at it's beauty, a little old lady with grey hair appeared. She inquired of our travels that had lead us to here and she
invited us inside, telling us "Come inside when you're ready."
We took some time to mull our whole adventure over. As we found the final hatch we knew our journey was done. We had found the place we belonged.

We made our way inside and found this beautiful church peacefully empty. There was the murmur of voices, but no one to be seen. As we made our way down the aisle and past the pews we knew our journey had always been leading us here.

(Hope you enjoyed our adventure, as told by Stacy and me.)

Thanks Julia.

Stacy and I had quite a lot of fun on our geo-caching adventure. We thought it would be fun to put a Lost spin on it. I'm looking forward to geo-caching again.
