I am working on a project using some landscape/building photos I took. I noticed that when I just view the pictures on my computer they are fine. But when I pull them into Vegas they get wavy. For example one building is a brick structure, but instead of straight rows of bricks, they wave when I zoom the image in or out. Another location had blue and red stripes painted on it but they look like waves in the Vegas version. It seems to be having difficulty with straight lines. The video footage I shot at the same time doesn't appear to have this issue.

I have never had this problem before. I am working with multi-sourced photos for a contest entry and I haven't noticed the same problem with them, just this project.

I don't know if this will help any but I shot the pictures with an Olympus Sp-815 uz. The pictures are all JPEG's.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I tried leaving them as stills and not zooming, but the waves are still there pretty much anywhere there should be a straight line. It's just a really annoying effect. I need this project to be really cleanly edited.

Hey Macaila, I'm having trouble visualizing what you're describing. Can you maybe take a screenshot of your project with the wavy lines, so I can get a mental image? That way I can try to figure out if I've had a similar problem or if it's something I can google information on?

I have gotten this problem fixed. Thought I would post the solution in case anyone has a similar issue in the future.

My pictures were too high resolution for Vegas to support. I resized the images in Paint from a size of 4288 x 3216 to a size of about 533 x 400. This greatly improved their quality and removed the wavy appearance.

Thanks again to Tammy for finding the solution.
