More Tarsem Singh, eh? God, his cinematography is gorgeous...
... and you did it justice here! I haven't heard the song, but it suited the elegaic feeling well. Liked the quick cuts when the music picked up around 1:40 -- well done without feeling forced or pushed. Some nice cuts on Loki's face towards the end and an elegant end with the final lyric: Song and video meshed really well.
Well done! _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Eeeee! That was fantastic! What an awesome song for a Loki vid! The editing was really nice & smooth! Loki is one of the very rare villains that I actually really felt sorry for. You did a great work on showing all the different sides of his complex personality and his inner struggles and conflicts.
Amazing vid, Maria! _________________

I know I already commented at LJ but I also wanted to repeat it here because it's just so awesome!
The song is PERFECT for Loki, it takes us on such a journey through his story arc in Thor.
I loved your sort of sepia tone coloring on the flashback scenes, it really set them off so nicely, IMO! Your lyric interpretations and clip choices were awesome and I liked how you sped things up slightly as the music became more frenetic!
The shot of Thor and Loki laughing together amidst the fight scenes just makes me *clutches heart.* Aww, fellows, there's gotta be a way to work this out, right? *sniffles*
And then the ending! *sniffles again more loudly* The shot of baby!Thor and baby!Loki amidst Loki falling away? *clutches heart again* What a perfect way to show how far he's (literally) fallen.
A really fantastic and beautiful study of Loki and I loved it! ♥! |

Gosh, why am I ALWAYS so late in replying to comments. *facepalm*
Heather, thank you so much! Glad you liked it!
Kate, for a moment, you really had me thinking that Thor was directed by Tarsem and I was all *flail*, but I looked it up and it wasn't! Bummer. In any case, I'm very happy you liked the vid. I was worried about the pacing and editing, so I'm thrilled to hear that it worked for you. Eee, the fact that you used the word "elegant" to describe this makes me super happy. Thank you so much for your amazingly kind review, hon!
Jemma, I couldn't have done it with your support. I really appreciated your help with this vid, hon. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Macaila, the song really did fall into my lap for this vid, didn't it? It was very appropriate for Loki. I'm very glad you liked the vid. Thank you for the feedback!
Karolina, first of all, *glomps you*. Haven't heard from you in a while! Second of all, thank you soo much for your lovely review, hon! This song was a blessing! It worked with Loki sooo well. I'm thrilled to hear you liked my editing because I was a little worried about that. I wanted to give the song its due justice because it has a wonderful rhythm to it! I agree - Loki is indeed a very sympathetic villain. I'm ecstatic (can you tell I'm trying to use all the synonyms I know for 'happy' hee! ) to hear that I was able to portray him as the multifaceted and complex character that he is. *big hugs* Thanks so much, hon!
Aislynn, you always give some of the best reviews ev-ar! I think I addressed all of your wonderful points on my LJ, but I just want to reiterate how much I am grateful for your words and your betaing. Thanks so much for everything, sweetie!
Nikki, thank you so much!!! I really wanted my editing to keep up with the song's pacing - I'm glad you liked the way I handled that. Eee, excited to hear you liked the lyrical interpretation as well!
Thanks so much to all! Glad people are enjoyed this vid! _________________
