I edited the hell out of my "Enter Sandman" video. I took out all the filler clips and long clips, and added in more short clips that had to do with the plot, like the first time we saw Ethan, for example. And them finding Charlie's L A T E tape.

If you can watch it, and tell me if it's better or worse than my last try, it woul really mean a lot to me. What advice would you give me to make it better?

I realized that I cannot shorten the song. I tried and it was chopped up and nasty. I hope the five and a half minute length won't be too much of a problem.

This is my first time using You Send It. I'm just sick of Angelfire's No Direct-Linking Policy. Just let me know if it doesn't work properly or if the link ran out.

Enter Sandman

Sorry for getting to this so late. I think it's an improvement, but really not much of one. It all comes down to the song being way too long and the clips not beign exciting enough to catch the viewer's attention. You can either really make an effort to emphasize slow parts in a video and make them look AWESOME, but it's a real pain in the ass to do... What we need is someone who knows some good song editing software and how to handle it >.< maybe if we all ask Enchirito and Jake REAAAAALLLYYY nice, they may tell us how to shorten our songs I need simillar help, if I ever plan to bring out my secret intro entry (hasn't started yet... so don't get too excited >.<)

I found this post of mine that might help you out.

TIP: If you're having problems cutting your music seamlessly, try converting the audio file to WAV format before cutting it up. For some reason, WAVs let you cut with more precision. For example, in my vids, Sinister Rouge cuts once and No Tears cuts twice. Nobody seems to notice. Cool

oh yeah, I use Ulead Media Studio Pro which has an advanced Audio Editor to go along with it's Video Editor.

For song editing (which IMO is essential for this video to work for ANYONE) I use a program called Sound Forge. It's a basic wave (and other formats) editing program where you can SEE the sound waves and highlight certain sections, delete wherever you want. It's tricky. It's really just trial and error. THE IMPORTANT THING: don't half-ass edit a song cause you can totally tell when it's been done poorly.
