We've had to make some changes in what can and can't be posted publicly in our forum and so we're now asking that you please no longer post links to songs anywhere in LVI's forum. If you want to share a song with another member, that's your choice but please do it only through PM or other private means, not on the forum board. Any links that are posted will have to be deleted.
With all of the scrutiny that any sort of file-sharing is receiving, we want to make sure that LVI doesn't get shut down for any sort of violation like that, so we're asking your help in making sure that doesn't happen. Thank you so much for your understanding!
However, with that in mind, you can still ask about music here, such as if you're trying to find a sad or happy or whatever song for an upcoming vid you're working on and would like some suggestions. Or if you're looking for a band or artist that sounds like another band/artist, you're still free to talk about music here. Just please don't share any links to music, either in this thread or any other.
You can still link over to Youtube to give an example for a song or artist that you're talking about. You just can't provide the song itself as a download.
Some places where you can find music legally are: (some are for buying individual songs/albums, some are subscription services, some are streaming radio stations and the like )
iTunes
Amazon
eMusic
Spotify
Pandora
8tracks
If you know of any other legal source of music, please let us know and we'll add it to the list!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thank you again for your help and understanding. |

I highly recommend EMusic.
It doesn't have the amount of songs that iTunes has but they are a much nicer company and their songs are cheaper.
Their songs range from .49 cents to .89 cents.
And even GOOD songs are cheap too.
They gave people a 5 dollar credit because they changed their layout. |

You're welcome!! It's really the best website.
I am going to buy another download card tomorrow.
I bought a 15 dollar download card and got 20 or so songs out of it. So it's not a bad set up at all.
And they don't tax the songs like iTunes does. So that's a plus. |

Rhapsody is another site you can download music from, though they tend to be a bit more expensive.I usually use Amazon, but I had a promo code for Rhapsody and so I gave it a try and the music was very high quality. So I would recommend it as another site to get music from.

I wasn't a fan of Rhapsody. I had 4 credits and got 2 songs and instead of using the credits they took it out of my bank account. I wasn't pleased with that.
And I didn't understand them. I was todl that you could put as much songs as you wanted on your MP3 Player but after you stopped paying the music would disappear; I could never figure out how to put it on my device.
Because I was a napster user they gave me a few credits becuase they bought Napster and were trying to get the napster users to become members. I just wasn't happy with their service.
I miss napster.
I used them for a good hour and then just decided it wasn't for me. |

Wow, that sounds like a really bad experience Brooke. I don't understand why they'd take the money from your account like that and not use the credits. Or delete your music like that..
I didn't have any trouble like that. I don't have the kind of membership that lets me download a certain amount of music for so much a month/year. I thought I'd have to sign up for that, but somehow I was able to just sign up and buy the album I wanted. I watched them really closely when I used my credit and they did it right.
I personally like Amazon the best.
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with Rhapsody.

Does anyone know of any fun/upbeat songs about being nerdy/quirky/weird? |
